Automated Sites - How To!

Hello everyone,

As like me, most of the people reading this are website developers who are always looking for a way to make steady profits off of little or no work. Thats were 100% automated sites come into play.

I personly have made 100s off of selling automated sites, now i am openly giving the secerct to how i make automated sites out to the public.

I am sure some people know the "secerct" but i'd like to make it a more common feature on the web.

Heres the Step by Step of setting up a 100% automated site.

Step 1. Find a domain, i recommend something that you can find lots of rss feeds for, I.E Gaming consoles, Webmaster News, Real World News Ect.

Step 2. Find a template, i recommend free open source templates for quickness and easiness of editing and setting up, but feel free to use paid and custom templates.

Step 3. Find rss feeds that fit your sites "Nitch" in other words if your sites xbox related go to a site like gamespot and look under rss and find Xbox News or what ever subject you want select it and take the url to the xml or feed and copy it.

Step 4. Take the url and go to www.myrsssource.com and past it into the proper form, than fill out the css so that it all matches your sites design.

Step 5. Copy the html at the bottum of the site and past it into your website's html.

This will give you a source of auto updating content great for incressing pagerank and also great as sites that make a fair amount of money off adsense and yahoo ads.

For those of you who don't want the link back to the site feel free to pm me there is a paid verison i can show you. It's $2 a year for full access to the paid verison.

Hope everyone enjoys automated sites and please feel free to post yours sites i'd love to see them!

Thanks for this! I've been trying to find some info on this subject for a while. I just have a question about duplicate content though. Will a site get penalised for duplicate content for this?

THanks!

BMFX 08-06-2007 11:12 AM

No because it's all rss feeds. The site openly puts the feeds out there so they can be used in rss readers, blogs and resources.

In no way well you get introuble for having rss feeds inless they are related to something illegal. I.e underage drinking or something illegal.

Most honest reasons are 100% legal.

I was really suprised to see how few people understood how this works, glad to have helped.

Is it ok to use google news feeds for something like this?

They mention in their terms of servcie something about not using on commercial websites, but surely most sites if not all are commercial in some sense?

BMFX 08-07-2007 03:59 AM

i believe as long as you are selling the feeds ect its not considered illegal.

May i also suggest using wordpress as a base and there are several plugins to automate the rss..the only problem i see with this methid is that search engines will lower rankings a lot :)

As the suggest reason people go for automated site is to get more search engine traffic right ..no use if the rankings decrease.

If anyone needs helps i would be glad to help..just pm me.

jackdomain 08-20-2007 04:38 PM

i normally put some rss feeds in site to increase ... the traffic because of this form it seems to be updated every day... Is good for mini sites/or sites with no work requiered... but always as an extra and not the mainfull part of the site

Don't rely on rss feeds as your sole source of content! I'm currently helping two NP members who did just that (autoblogs) and had their domains dropped from google. Both are doing re-inclusion requests as a result.

It clearly states in their webmaster guidelines that such sites are a no-no. "Purely scraped content, even from high-quality sources, may not provide any added value to your users without additional useful services or content provided by your site"

Anyone know a good plugin for Wordpress, WP-O-Matic is crap, it doesn't even add a source links from your feeds.

Sorry have been gone alot lately.

But it's always smart to have true content, because as you said they can be droped, though doesn't happen everytime.

I recommend automated sites combined with ariticles that have been writen for public use while its not custom content your providing resources.

It's OpenSource, hack it so it does have source links. ;)

Ruriko 10-20-2007 11:09 PM

Don't you get banned by google for having duplicate content?

BMFX 10-21-2007 01:50 AM

It's not duplicate, or copied content is made as a feed to keep sites updated as well as news feeds ect.

I believe you need aleast a bit of legit and true content, i tend to do a about us on each page.

So, using rss to automatically get content onto your site is search engine friendly as long as you have some content that is orginal such as the about us page. Correct? If yes then wouldn't people be able to do this with blogs?

BMFX 10-21-2007 05:05 PM

depends on coding system the verison i have shown is javascript sadldy google doesn pick java script. My sites i do a bit of content thats enough to get google to pick on some hot keywords.

Besides that i have heard some rss feeds have been able to catch up on googles system but i am unsure of the exact coding or plugin used.

I have a blog is site its running on wordpress at www.hottestmusic.info
