[REQ-BANNER+Logo] - For a Photography website

Type of Contest : Vertical Banner design with small logo
Prize : USD$80 via paypal
Contest End Date & Time : Friday June 26, 2009 at 12 midnight ( US Eastern Time )
Size Requirements : Vertical Banner 150px by 640px
Color Requirements : MUST go well with a light gray or black colored theme ( not decided yet ) background website

General Requirements :
Please use photoshop for this design.
This banner will be used in a website weekendfotography.com
A vertical banner design using the word "WeekendFotography" with emphasis on the "F" since its Fotography with a "F"
The banner should have a small unique logo that will go well with photography.

I want the design to be original, creative and with a "wow" effect. All artwork must be original and not from the web.

I'm pretty much open to any design idea.

The word design and the small logo should be on separate layers
All font files used must be included as well.

Finally, dazzle me with your design!

Hi Steadler,
Thanks for your entry. I think you should come up with another design concept if you have the time. The color will not flow well in my dark background IMO. I'm also not excited about your font choice both top and bottom.

I woulld love to see another design concept from you.

You are getting there but not quite yet. Interesting design theme except that I cannot co-relate it to photography. Maybe its too abstract. Also the word fotography is almost clipping off.

If you can somehow retain your interesting design theme with a co-relationship with photography, it will be great. The design looks like a mosiac, and if you can inject photography within the mosiac, it would look great.

Hi crs,
Good thoughts. The theme is coming along nicely. A couple of pointers. The white cloud look-a-like and the blueish line above is a bit distracting and I think you should remove it.

J-Man, still prefer your previous design. If you use live props like tripod, lens or camera, you can use whatever thats available on the internet, its just the design theme needs to be original.

umxca, your latest design is a VERY clean design. I kinda like it. But you have to do something with that tripod...not sure what to say about it. Its there for a purpose, but its like missing something...

The calendar is quite appropriate, but the color will not go well with my black background. Overall the design is too plain.

crs, please ....I would love to see more creative stylish design from you. The more the better.
