It's really good news. That was some super fast indexing.

Thanks Varon! It's inspiring me to create another WhyPark site tonight. I'm just trying to think of a good niche now.

Any of you guys working on the new blue/green CSS template? It would be nice to update this thread with some more template changes made by whypark members and share feedback.

I've been working on changing my WhyPark template looks this weekend. On the "new" Template besides changing the size of the letters by making them a bit bigger I also swapped in some cases the blue/green CSS template to become Green/Blue as in the following example: www.magicofsoccer.com Do you think there are too many Auction Ads at the bottom?

On the site www.inksandprinters.com I'm using the "WhyPark original default layout", but changed the background and Header colours as well as the height of the header which was a bit thin for my taste. Also made the letters a bit larger.

Gil, on the magicofsoccer site, the changes look pleasing. As far as the auction ads, I would retain just 2 instead of the 4 and try changing the green color to something else. Btw, I've not experimented with these new auction ad themes. These look new.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=347832

On the inksandprinters site, everything looks fine. But, could you give a space between the adsense link unit and the rectangular ad? It looks too close to me. Also, I always prefer taking off the related articles and using the skyscraper space for ads. You could supplement it with more articles on the main body if you wish. Another point I felt was the font type. Trebuchet MS looks neat at times. Have you tried that?

Btw, Gil, if you ask me for comments, I'll always take a very critical view as a first time visitor to your site and say all that I've got on my mind...lol... you're better off not asking me to have a look.

Gil, the site looks great. Personally, I don't the the 4 ad block is bad at all. It is a little hard to read that line green on white though, over on the side bar.

Ok I just changed www.magicofsoccer.com Looks less crowded at the bottom.

As for the www.inksandprinters.com I agree with you completely and I would like to implement the changes you sugest but don't know how. I think I have to do it on Dreamweaver or similar program, or is there a simpler way of doing it.

Thanks Varon

Thanks for your sugestion OctaneInv. Made the green a wee bit darker. Has it improved, from your point of view or should I darken it a little more?

The new color for the auction ads looks very pleasing now. It also matches the site colors. You wouldn't need dreamweaver for the changes. Let me see if I can send you the code via a pm.

Btw, did you add some space between the top link unit and the rectangle ads?

No I didn't 'cause I don't know how. In fact last night I spent over an hour trying to create some space between the link unit and the Header which as you can see has no space at all, but I was not able to do it. I usually stop trying after a while, go to sleep and try the next day.

All you need to do for adding some space is to use

<br>
<br>
Your adsense code

in the top ad code section. That will bring the top ad a bit lower.

OK I got it. Looking much better. Also added a space between "MORE ARTICLES" and the Header. I really need to learn a bit of HTML. It's easy when you know how. Have a look and see if its improved. www.inksandprinters.com As for changing the font type to Trebuchet MS, again I'm not sure how to do it.

It looks neat now.

Okay...for the font type and justification. Add this code to your CSS box.

* {
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
}
<--------------- Add here.

P {
font-family: Trebuchet MS;
text-align:justify;
}

.short {
font-family:Trebuchet MS;
text-align:left;
}

The Click throughs depend on many factors.

1. The relevancy of the ads
2. Placement/size of ads

Overall, I'm having a 23% CTR on my ads. Since this is not a pure parking page, I feel its a decent CTR considering that people actually come to read an article. I've made my 100 bucks a long time back. So currently, I have it free for a lifetime. I can keep rotating new domains to it, whenever I feel the need.

You can place any banner ad on your WP site. You can also use multiple ad streams and even combine it with affiliate sales.

For example, my signature site uses clickbank banner ads, bidvertiser etc. It's a nice way to monetize every bit of your website.

margin: 0px;

P {
font-family: Trebuchet MS;
text-align:justify;
}

.short {
font-family:Trebuchet MS;

}

td
{
font-family: arial, helvetica, sans serif;
font-size: 11pt;
color: 000000;
line-height: 15pt;
}

But it seems nothing changed. If I'm not wrong the font was Arial and still is.
Something that I'm doing wrong. The template being used is "WhyPark Original Default Layout"

wow i like your sig site , it looks nice , how hard is it to add the custom banner background and your put in your own affliate banners , i also like the colours you have choosen , the standard blue one , looks very plain , i do fancy signing up for whypark.com , it does seems very good , one thing i've not yet got is my adsense account , so i guess i should set that up as well.

Plus i've read somewhere that google is starting to ban these kinds of sites , as they are starting to see them as spam ? is this true?

Its very easy to add the custom banner. Its a simple copy and paste code. Whypark sites are not MFA sites because you can add your own content, change the template and not rely on the article feeds if you wish. I have changed most of my sites and added my own content.

Google and MFA? Thats a joke... after the youtube copyright scandal.

Varon- you are the WhyPark king. I love the recent changes you have made to domain-parking-monetizing.com. Especially the "live traffic feed widget" very cool. You have inspired a lot of people to join this great service!

nscoville, nice to have you post in here. I liked antiallergenics. Its superbly done. However, oswd seems to be a parked site. About defleaed, is that a whypark template modified? It looks very interesting.

Chip, I just got people to notice whypark, nothing more. Btw, the traffic widget allows you to see the exit points and analyze the traffic trends. It helped me make some changes to my site. The other very very imporatnt tool you should add to your site is the Babelfish translation tool. It helps people read better in their own language.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=347832

I have added it to my domain parking site and would encourage every whypark member to add it to their sites. It helps.

To make things easier. Just copy this code and paste it wherever you want it on your site. I have added it to my top ad code box.

For the Babelfish code please visit here:

Varon, thanks for the kind words, and all your previous advice about WhyPark I've come across. I forgot that Open Source Web Design is a .org http://www.oswd.org. That is where I got the template I modified for the defleaed site. It's a pretty cool site with lots of CSS templates easily adaptable to WhyPark.

Thanks Varon! Another great tip for people to add to thier WhyPark sites.

On another note- I really wish WhyPark would do something with the [[mainbody]] attribute, and not require it for custom articles to show up. I can design much better landing pages if I wasn't required to use this tag.

Looks like all that long time lurking is giving good results. Nice work nscoville and do stick around as you will surelly learn a lot, as we all have with Professor Varon.

Here's what I've been doing with WhyPark, mostly working with diferent colours, but still have lots of other changes to make.
