using several layers and a mask can do it,
it is the photoshop basics.
see the manual.

ok, ill try that, but thinking now i guess a better way to describe what i want to do is crop the photo into a hexagon shape.

put the image on a layer and your hexagon on a different layer now put the image layer above the hexagon layer in your layers window then hit shift-g at the same time and this will GROUP the image with the hexagon. and put the image inside the hexagon. :)

sry i tried that didnt work, I need the actual image to be a hexagon with a picture inside. The picture can have no white space just a hexagon, with an image inside.

Still thanks for helping.

here is the banner so far, i need the images to fit into each of those hexagons.
Hope this can help better
thanks
vicken

it works. each hexagon has to be a separate shape layer. and each image has to be a separate layer. ctrl-g and the image becomes grouped with the shape then you can move and position the image inside the shape without trying to cut the image into the shape of the "shape".
