I know people make their living making graphics but I am on a tiny bugdet. Was wondering if anyone knows where I can find free icons/images that have an Windows XP style or feel to them?
Not too bad price-wise, $40 for a single website license but with all the money I've put into my website so far I would rather not have to shell out any more money than I need to.
Plus I would like to find images that look more like big icons rather than buttons. If I can find BOTH that would be a plus!
I do like a lot of what is at IconFactory but they are only for personal desktop use (unless you can get permission from them or the person who created the icons or buy a set).
As for making them myself, any suggestion on software? I don't have ANY graphics software.
hey there. I'll make you some if you want, for real cheap, im not sure if 1 USD for 1 icon is cheap enough, but i could do 50 cents if your budget requires. Really are they all is nice little shapes with gradient fills and strokes, lol. You just make them at say 200 x 200 andthen shrink them.

ridiculous? Not at all. Quality costs money. You can go on selling your $10 templates, however I create quality media solutions for companies providing professional products at a professional price. Now I know I'm not the best.. and I compensate for that.. a icon specialist will charge you along the lines of $15-20 for custom icons. However, you may be mistaken for icons that people resell? You can buy 30 icons for $50 but they in no way unique and you are only purchasing a liscence to use them.
you serious? w00www. I make mine for like cheap, lol, like 5 icons for 10 or something. i dont make them for companies, well, not yet at least, and mine are unique. Nothing wrong with your prices, just a bit shocked. Hehe, gotta love them gradient fills
