it when you go and register a name right from the registrar for reg fee- if you check on a name, and it is available, and you register it- it is a hand-reg and not an after market sale

DepartmentStores.tv - History of the chain, origins, etc., summaries of what it is known for, etc.

Auctioneer.tv - I have a lot of contacts in that industry, so either I will get some help developing, or I will sell to one of them.

Just picked up last night:

baseballreport.tv
soccerreport.tv
footballreport.tv

And a few others I think will work well, but keeping the list short.

I think there are a lot of people picking up generic keywords that really do not fit for .tv but I see major potential in video reports for various sports, etc. These fit well.

Would love to hear members thoughts on if I am off base.

you just gotta remember something, because it is important how you see names.

there are alot more words that fit the tv extension than people think- one of the biggest areas that can do very very well is product placment- which would use generics very nicely. take ccm's Flowers.tv- doesnt seem to go with the extension, does it.... - flowers have nothing at all to do with tv, right?

well, if i was a flower company i would be using this to showcase my floral arrangments, i would SHOW the care that is taken when creating the pieces, i would talk, as the ceo, to my customer about our mission- the list goes on in taking a generic name, and turning it into a customer magnet- :-)

Oh I agree, there are generics that fit well, but I have seen quite a few people were quite proud of that I have a hard time seeing the real value.

Trust me, i have my share of mistake names so not picking on anyone

So to be clear, my point was not that all generics were bad, but I do believe with .tv a focus is needed more than on other extensions.

OfficeLady.TV

OfficeLady is a popular word in asian countries / areas such as Japan, Korea, hongkong, china.. etc when talk about a female office worker

I thought I'd try my hand at the domain craze. This site is AWESOME. Anyway, here are some of the few hand-reg domains I picked up. I posted 2 of them on the appraisale .TV site but no luck yet.

1. starwar.tv - site with celebrity fight videos, celebrity beef
2. facebooks.tv - ??
3. bangbros1.tv - ??

Did I do any good?
