"inurl: google.mobi" (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...bi&btnG=Search)

this was one of the 9 results

I was not afraid and I will not be afraid anymore. Google will DEFINITELY use the mobi domain. Im 100% sure. Its a matter of time...
I see ZERO evidence of your statements. There is only that single page result for google.mobi which tells me it's a fluke. ONE page and you suddenly think there is a new application being built by Google for mobi? Where do you get that from? You're grasping at nothing.

I have a feeling theres going to be alot of very disappointed investors who didnt sell their .mobi names yet and who have bought many, many .mobis. They are going to take a huge lose when these companies who were supposed to be backing this extension use m.whatever.com or www.google.com/mobile etc as they are now. And with the newer phones coming out are capable of viewing .com, its all over for .mobi
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=330210

Even the smaller screened cell phones are getting phazed out for t-mobile dash, blackberry's, palm treos etc. I wont even bring up the iphone and others similar to it. This will get ugly I believe in due time for .mobi lovers. Sadly, the fact is they are becoming harder to sell to. Call it a bubble burst or slow down or whatever, I think theres a bigger reason behind it. People are wising up to whats available technology wise and are having their doughts as well.

Just my opinion folks, proceed with caution.

Yes, have already seen the iphone confrence (on apples site) and similar phones capable of the same. Also seen a yahoo commercial yesterday with what looked liked a palm treo browsing yahoo.com/mobile for a real estate commercial.

It wont be too long imho when web pages will be projected into mid air about 2 inches off the screen for easy viewing. Keyboard projectors are already out, why not web pages?

Thank you for the compliment. That sale was enough to cover all my .mobi registrations. I also sold cellularpoker.mobi for $500, satellitepoker.mobi for $100 and numerous other .mobi domains all for a profit

This however does not help your case

these phones in total have less than 5% of the market ..... they are gaining ground at a snails pace ...in 10 years they'll have 10% of the market and will still be irrelevant to the mobile internet

as many others have said ...nobody wants to lug these suckers around except geeks...

steve jobs has said he'd be happy with 1% of the cellphone market

..and for those nights out on the town or rough mountain biking trips you could always go with the air-package... you know, all the kids are doing it - rent a helicopter to hover about 10 feet above your head with one of those movie theater screens and BAM... so long crappy regular ericsson phone with 1" lcd!

If you've got a web-enabled mobile phone you can find out your bank balance no matter where you are if you are a Barclays customer.

By visiting Barclays.mobi, you can securely log in to your account and view your balance on a site specially designed to be browsed on mobile devices.

-----------------------------------------

Enough is enough. Now the ****ing banks want us to do banking on the phones. Will it never end?

Where in the hell do the banks think they are going to put a money slot on my phone?

Does this mean all calls will need to be paid for?

What in the hell do we have to do? Lug around phone booths?

This is confusing as hell. If I have to use my phone for banking then why do I need to go to the bank?
