If a mobile related domain averages 500K in overture. The math shows, that 500K will only multiply 4 times more. 2 million users will access the mobile internet for the same purpose. Not necessarily -- a name such as ringtones.mobi may yield 10+ times better results on mobile phones. On the converse, perhaps some names which we believe to be mobile in nature, will remain searched predominantly on desktops. We really don't know at this point.
Only in the future, they will have a faster access to what they want. Insted of driving, walking, running to a near desktop to get access to the info. They will have instant answer to their mobile relate shopping/surfing/ecommerce. Yes, these all certainly have a place down the road.
Since .mobi is the first of its kind.. The CREATOR/LORD of mobile extension.... than history is repeating itself....only this time we are shifting left. When .com was launched... the same argument was said... your domains will be worth $$$... only 10 years later... those who were smart enough averaged $1 million in revenue a month, anual, yearly. There are thousands of reserved names. The outcome of these names will set the precedent. This is not necessarily a .com, but as I've said before, I feel it will become at least a .net.
It only makes sense, for the human civilization to shift closer to the world wide web. It's the GATEWAY to the Virtual World. It was not long ago, when we used pigeons to get our emails to friends, family,etc. Since the crash, Area 51. We have witnessed the evolution of Microchips.... the future is virtual...

virtual = mobile devices that will beem you up to the moon

I concur that mobile is where it's all going.

I'm just a fan and owner of Dot Mobi Domains. What ever the market holds for dot mobi.

I know one thing 4 sure! and thats every single name I purchased except 3, have a gurantee in returning 200-400% revenue by the end of my 2 year lease.

Either way, myself and those who made the right choices will walk away a winner.
