To put it bluntly, I am not waiting for any one to do any thing for me. I have goals and opportunities that I am seizing. I am cross promoting the hell out of mobi. I have recently regged the domain MobilizingMobi.com. Why?

That is what needs to happen. Perhaps I coined the term, perhaps I didn't but I have been using it for a while now. Along with MobiPhobics and MobiPhiles.

Here's the situation...I see everybody patting each other on the back for this wonderful reg and this wonderful reg. I am about to puke.

Some of the crap I am seeing is beyond any reasoning or applications to mobi. To me, half the shit I am reading is that...shit in any lanquage. The rationale I see for regging is beyond rationale. Just because it is a dictionary word, just because it has a high OVT, just because it is regged in every other known TLD reg...that does NOT mean it is applicable to a mobile format, a mobile lifestyle, or even worth the money you paid for it.

Guess what? THERE IS SOME GEMS LEFT! I'm getting a big kick out of google returns and OVT rankings as if that has the final word on whether its a keeper or not. It doesn't make a big hill of beans what the hell it is or what it says or what the rankings are. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH IT...WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH IT TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL is the deciding factor...at least it is for me.

It is plainly evident that many have lost site of WHAT MOBI IS AND CAN BE.

I don't want to read anymore about how much is this worth, how much is that worth. Why? Because it ain't worth a damn penny more than you paid for it until someone comes along and offers you one penny more. I am all done offering appraisals and assessments because that is what it is worth...the number of years you regged it. Someone wants to give you $300 for it? Great! Yippee! Take it. Why hold out! You're not going to do a damn thing with it except sit on and wait until someone offers you more.

I don't understand all the talk and chatter about mobi when there isn't shit being done about it other than the talk and chatter that I see the bulk of every one just stroking each other. I am about to throw up this morning's breakfast over all the cutesy smiley faces I see as if that is supposed to make me feel better about all the bullshit I see and read.

Look around...seriously look around. Where are the bulk of mobi fans, developers, designers? Right here on this forum. I have seen some incredible work come out of this forum and I have learned an incredible amount since joining.

Go to other forums and talk mobi. The assholes will run over you and won't think twice or look back to see if there are any remains visible.

It is time to mobilize mobi. Right here, right now.

Use and abuse each other and each others talents and capabilities. I am not a programmer. But nearly 30 years of being in advertising in one form or another gives me an insight to marketing and promotion. I have paid for sites to be designed months ago. Still waiting.

What is every one else waiting on? Someone else's success? Or your own.

It is time to mobilize mobi. Right here, right now.

I can design the hell out of some logos and banners. I can promote the hell out of mobi with any of the 3000+ domains that I own. I can promote the hell out of my sites and mobi at the same time by having nearly 20,000 postcards posted in hospitals all throughout the country (USA) and they will be posted. I know my market, I know how to market to them, I know what they need, and I know the voids and how to fill those voids.

What can you do? What are you going to do? What can you do for me? I can't program but I sure as hell will learn. What is your market? What is your specialty? What are you the resident expert in? What are you going to do for yourself? What are you going to do for others?

Folks, this is a gut check...a reality check. I can sugarcoat all this boring BS you're reading but it will be so sickly sweet it will make you want to puke.

This is the real deal. I don't take any thing back once I put it out there. Gotta deal with it. You gotta deal with the reality and the reality is mobi needs to be mobilized. And I think a great many people are waiting on us to do it.

You don't have to agree with all of this dribble or my take and philosophy on what mobi is and can be. I am not looking for applause or kudos or rep added. But I am also not going to stroke someone else's ego and be a member of the mutual admiration society.

Get off your asses and do something. Make it happen. Make it work. Carry each other if you need to.

I've simply printed some flyer's with pictures of my site from the emulator on it to distribute to cell phone stores. Not enough time to do it as much as I'd like. As my name states, it's a "work in progress"

As others can see, I'm also a firm believer in developing. If nothing else, get on mobisitegalore and put up your own little informational site. If I can do it, anyone can. Sure, it's easier to watch others do the work while others sit back and hope for the best. I encourage ALL to develop one site. If you feel you can't do it, sink a little of the reg-fee money into hiring someone who can for you. You'll not only be building value for your own site, you'll be contributing to the success (or if you choose to do nothing, the failure) of dot mobi...

I'm working on more sites. Although my budget (and lack of knowledge) will not allow ground-breaking, heavy content type of sites, at the least, they will be useful for the mobile community.

Anyway its more of like a joke I just made above to keep peoples spirtits up, but after looking at the preakness race, I came across a link for digiturf.com (and i was drawn in like a tractor beam..since i love horse racing) Digiturf.com is a virtual realty horse racing simulator where you buy yoru own horses and win real money if your horse wins"gambling basicly but at the same time strategic..kind of like fantasy sports" (..look out credit cards)

Anyway I named one of my 5 horses (Dot Mobi) He cost me $24 bucks (2 reg fees basicly) but it will be fun to watch along with my other horse (Biffenator and Biff) i am not gon run him until tommorrow (I got to train him well first)

I will keep you posted if he wins and can let you guys know the time of the race lol (you can see it from that site live )

If he wins then I win $20 I think for the begginer race and it cost me $2 to enter him in.

If it's any consolation to those who're finding few people having heard of .mobi, few people I know (and I know alot of people) outside of the tech sector are even aware that URL's in the .com extension have gone for $100,000+. Yes, I said 100k
