I've got a few sites: see sig. Plus as soon as I can fund it, I'll have quite an innovatively designed site.

All I was pointing out -- some of the people who claim that "we're just talking trash" have actually developed less than we have. That's a fact, look around.

Indeed. Nothing gives me a greater rush than writing (or developing) something that's of interest to me. It's all fascinating stuff when you start reading up on it.

I had a woman ask me awhile back about why organic grapes last longer than regular grapes, so I did some research into the matter so I could get back to her with a plausible answer.

Ironically, it seems the answer lies in the fact that lighter colored foods have much lower antioxidant contents to begin with, so when we couple that fact with the fact that the chemicals we spray on crops act as anti-oxidants (as in anti-oxygen), we realize that spraying crops with chemicals in turn reduces the amount of phytochemicals that they necessarily have to produce, something which has a marked effect in grapes when lower amounts of major antioxidants, such as resveratrol are produced.

When we start to think of aging using an advanced glycated end-products or free radical theory of aging, we begin to realize how many parallels there are between aging and oxidation. Why do certain turtle species live longer than humans? They have slower metabolisms -- metabolisms that spew out fewer free radicals. Less free radicals implies lower oxidation and hence longer lifespans.

It's taken time, but more and more research seems to be pointing to the fact that the very causes of aging are free radical damage and apoptosis induced by oxidation or other mechanisms.

By exploiting our knowledge of sirtuins, and how we can capitalize on CR mimetics in the near future, not living perfectly healthy to 100 may someday be the exception, rather than the rule.

I love this stuff, and it really excites me that more and more people are getting interested in eating healthier, excercising, and maintaining healthy habits which will greatly increase the likelihood of them having a nice life without too many hospital stays.

You both have a stake in the success of .mobi. Remember that.

Reese, Didn't mean to open that can of worms, yikes! Good luck with your antioxidants and those big names that I'm sure mean something to somebody. My gripe was with the 'uncalled for bashing' of other developers and that is where I came in, and go out.

Peace out.

You know what's interesting through out this we are talking about dot mobi, as far as the delay in the announcement of the rfp names i know what they are upto, they are awaiting to announce the winnings at a huge event, they will also launch there directory service around july from i uderstand it is.

so be patient, or otherwise all dot mobi name owners will have to start asking even more serious questions.

Thing is the mobile world is also slow, they are awaiting for the next generation to grow up who will use the cell phone for surfing, thats the bottom line, i have worked in marketing for over 10 years i know there game

I concur, but what kind of "huge" event do you suppose they think would be the best venue, and how long can they afford to wait?

no doubt timing is important, but I don't see how they can wait for the next generation to grow up before releasing their premium names - and how long exactly do you mean by that?

Let's not open this can of worms again

Mtld has done a less than stellar job... They haven't been able to keep their promises (not talking about the "couple weeks" one, speaking of the original promises)... Quite frankly, I don't care about the RFP or mtld anymore. We don't need mtld for this to succeed anyway -- what are a bunch of mid-level marketers who collectively have optimistically 1/100th the budget Bank of America could pump into advertising going to do to push this thing forward anyway?

It's become fairly obvious that many large corporations like the idea of a mobile extension -- hopefully we continue seeing more companies with >100B market cap whom are also interested.

I'm focussing on developing my site and news like the Bank of America is what I have to take in as satisfaction. Nothing wrong with that...

What's not obvious is the degree to which mTLD is reaching out to the Execs of BofA and others behind the scenes... perhaps through connections such as Visa reps, who are on their board. These guys can chat over rounds of golf or with the execs sitting beside them in First Class, etc. Those kinds of people may not get their info looking at domainer forums or mtld.mobi's announcement webpage.
