I got an e-mail informing me of my compensation. That would never happen here in Portugal and I'm sure lots of other places. Hats off to Donny for his honesty and dedication to all your Domain partners. You sir, are worthy of a medal!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped me and so many other NameProers learn the tricks of the trade. Merry Christmas to you all!

I posted this somewhere else, so I thought I would post it here as well just to explain how we can up with our numbers.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=326844

Let me explain what happened on the 19th. We have 4 routes into our data center and one of the routers from one of primary bandwidth providers freaked out. When this happened for some strange reason the other 3 routers tried to switch to the route that was having problems. It made no sense to me that something like that would happen but we had 1 hour 38 minutes of complete downtime and 33 minutes of downtime on just one of our clusters for a total of 2 hours 11 minutes of some downtime.

I announced that we would make sure that everybody was compensated for the downtime. Our plan was to take the highest grossing day of the week which was Monday and compare it Wednesday. If Wednesday was 10% less than Monday we would pay everybody 10% + an extra 5%.

On Thursday one of our providers changed their report format without telling us and we didn't download the final numbers for Wednesday until Friday. We finalized the Wednesday numbers and after the calculations Wednesday was 12.3% less than Monday, so we decided to just bump it up to 20% and pay everybody an extra 20% on top of what they earned on Wednesday.

Concerning the first quote about all countries, is there an accumulated body of knowledge or scattered bits floating around about which countries are strong performers for specific keyword types or industries? Would this be a good topic to hone in on for a bit for everyone, or best to just PM Donny? Seems like probably a win-win if we pooled the knowledge I think...? Maybe some day there could even be another new feature in the account of reference info for various countries, to help maximize all our ability to bring in good traffic from everywhere possible worldwide? Hmm, I think I might be onto something here - could I be onto something that could lead to substantially multiplied quality traffic of value to everyone concerned?

I would love to know this too.

I would also like to add, I think Parked ought to have a link for a "guide" of sorts that is updated weekly or monthly, that lets you know what helps. For example, titles capitalized has increased clicks by 00%, meta tags we have found do this for you....., Turkish traffic is rocking this week (he, he ) b/c....., so on and so forth. Simply information tidbits that Parked is aware of that we can glean angles from on how to improve ourselves as domainers using Parked, our portfolios, and ultimately our income for both Parked and ourselves.

Better stats like Domain Sponsor would help too, but I can't complain about that as Parked does a lot of things better.

I'm a new Parked customer and I'm spending the weekend working on setting up 30 domains. Thanks to this thread and all of the positive feedback and professionalism shown by Parked and Donny, I chose Parked as my first parking service and thankfully they approved my account quickly.

One thing I’m stuck on – trying to add or remove a ‘related word’ on the domain detail page. The ? icon says to drag the related word to the ‘remove keywords below’. I have tried this several times and the same Words stay in the related words box.

Sorry if this has been covered before – no way to search for details in this specific thread.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

If you left click on the word and hold the button you should be able to drag the name down to the removed keywords box...The cursor doesn't show in the screen print but you can see the word is almost to the removed box.

Hmmm, that is exactly what I've been doing and the word won't move down there. As soon as I release the mouse button the word moves back up.

Don't know what's up with that just tried it on mine and it works.

If you click "edit removed keywords' There will be a box you can use to type the word in you want removed.

Donny,

I notice that yesterday's (12/21) stats are still not finalized as of 19:18 MST today (12/22). Will that be done some time today?

Also, it seems that today's stats are lagging behind as well. Is that true? Is there some delay in stats going on at Parked today? Just wondering, because I don't want to draw any invalid conclusions from the performance of my domains if it is just delayed updates of stats.

Thanks.

Why are most if your domains pointing to the meanwhile.com pages? I thought for SERPs it would be better to use the Parked redirection option where you can keep the actual domain name in the address bar?

Also, I joined about 4 days ago and a, losing about 50% of my revenue each time the stats are finalized - why is that?

I get this every once in awhile as well. My solution is to remove 1 phrase by typing (edit removed keywords) then I can usually go back to the drag and drop. It tends to only happen when there are no removed words. Other than that, it comes and goes without any sort of pattern.

It would be better if there's a masking option so that visitors wouldn't be confused if they are in the correct domain.

Hi Artfulwebsites,

I noticed in your sig that the Wii templates are using a picture and colour scheme I haven't seen before, is that a new template? If not, what category did you find it in?

Cheers

I think it was just a slow day, being not only a weekend but right before Christmas. Most people who are shopping know they can't get delivery if they buy online, and the rest are just doing other things or travelling. My clicks for yesterday (Saturday) were only about a quarter to a third of what they've been during the week, and my domains parked elsewhere and most of my AdSense revenue were all down too.

Hi Tellman,

I just set the colors myself using colors I thought complemented the Wii color scheme. I found the pictures on the Web. Just use the "Customize Template" button on the domain edit page.

Yes, Netmeg, I think you are right about that. Thanks for confirming my suspicions with your own results.

I experienced some serious problems that never happened to me before. I advertise my parked domains @ AdCentre. It has been months without a single problem, all clicks of my adtexts at adcentre always 100% converted as visitors at parked.com. However, this month something strange happened. Some of my domains that I advertise at AdCentre got hundreds of click/day, however, it only converted 1 to 2% visitors in parked.com. Initially, i used domain masking/forwarding to all of my domains. Then i read on this forum to change that into ns1.parked.com and ns2.parked.com to minimize the lost clicks. I did that already but still i experience so many lost clicks.

then, yesterday i tried to change my url destination in my adcentre with www.searchnut.com/?domain=xxxxxxxx.com instead of www.xxxxxxx.com. Still, i don't see any solution yet. I still experienced a lot of lost clicks to some of my domains.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=326844

Btw, i have checked in my domain manager, there's nothing wrong. I have also double checked with parked.com about this issue but according to my account manager, perhaps i made mistake when doing masking/forwarding or when i changed my name server (in which i have checked them and they are all allright).

Is there anyone has this kind of experience? Or is there anyone has the solutions?

I do feel desperate now.....

thanks guyz....

I really rate parked for many reasons - a 1 parking provider for sure

just had a first the other day and wonder if anyone else has come across this

i had a click register for a finance domain - naturally it had a provisional ppc rate
the next day the click disappeared
