Times out "The Page cannot be displayed" Firefox: same thing error a bit different "The connection has timed out The server at secure.parked.com is taking too long to respond. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/parking-and-traffic-monetization/326844-parked-com-official-thread.html * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. |

![]() | OK, I don't see how this might be affecting so many people but...the last time I had exactly the same problem with timing out when trying to login I cleared my browser cache (in IE it's temporary internet files). After that I could log in no problem.

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=326844 sorry, to bring this up again, but i just want to verify something here. Am i correct to assume that you can use the "search Portal" properly just by searching for that template and saving? I want to use it on a few of my names, and thats what i think i can do now. i tried removing the keywords, but that refused to dissapear, so i just want to know what i need to do to let people search(for improving optimization later). Thanks

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Netmeg - From what I can tell, the deal won't do much. I think it was a bad deal for Yahoo IMHO. Let me explain why I think it's a bad deal and where in a few cases it will help. What is the biggest problems Yahoo has from a parking perspective? They have a limited number of countries they support. I've talked to them about this many times and Yahoo has this idea of what they should and shouldn't support. But at the end of the day Google supports basically every country in the world, Yahoo supports about 50. To me a perfect solution would have been for Yahoo to basically backfill all countries so if Yahoo didn't have support in China they would query Google and show those results. Google would get a lot more traffic, Yahoo would know what countries they need to focus on, we would only have to deal with one company, and our partners would have the best of both worlds a Yahoo and Google feed. If Yahoo did something like this their stock would be over $40 today, not at $23. Instead we get a Google backfill only on US and CA traffic. The stock goes down and will probably continue to go down. Also now the FCC will be looking into what Google and Yahoo will be doing together. If they would have just skipped the US and cut a deal with all of the other countries they wouldn't have any FCC hearings. Oh well, another screw up by Google and Yahoo. This could have been huge. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=326844 Donny

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hmm, interesting. I only really deal with US and CA traffic on the advertising side, so I hadn't thought of that, but it's a good point. In the SEM forums that I frequent, the perception is that Yahoo's ad program isn't worth much - it costs too much, doesn't convert, and they have a lot of crap sites in their search network (probably talking about domains, heh) So the AdWords advertisers are pretty vocal about wanting to have the ability to exclude Yahoo from their advertising campaigns unless they get to cherry pick where their ads show up. But so far, we have no idea how this is going to play out on the AdWords side.

![]() | Has any one noticed any changes in page indexing for parked sites (parked and even others) lately? I had a hot domain the last month or so, atleast hot for me meaning it was making money every day. It was ranking for certain keywords. However, the last few days the traffic disappeared, and when I went to check with google via "site:....." it did not appear. However, if you just type in the "sitename.extension" it appears. So, not sure what that exactly means. I know we were all expecting something like this to happen to parked (not necessarily referring to Parked.com) domains, but is it happening now. And what does it mean to the value of the domains? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Domains go in and out of google all the time - sometimes it seems like they toss a bunch out, and then they come back. Plus there's a *lot* of weirdness going on with Google search results / updates right now. But the bottom line is, you can't depend on search results - Google has as good as said they do not want parked domains coming up for searches in the index.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Gah. Everyone talks about parked being the best, but I really think their 2 page landers are hurting my parking...I'm only getting like 5-10 rpm lol. (while at others, such as sedopro, i get 25 rpm) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My experience has been that Sedo Pro has never been able to hold a candle to Parked, except in certain instances on select domains and for peculiar reasons. Adult and racy domains can do well there sometimes also. Of course, we are also talking about a Yahoo feed compared to a Google feed. For a Google feed, nothing beats Fabulous, but Yahoo is best served by Parked. And much of the time Yahoo does better than Google. Then add Parked.com's service and it usually pays better than any Google feed. . |

I totally agree. Yahoo feed(parked) is literally suffocating googles feed (sedo). the RPCs are also getting quite sizeable too. i need to stay away from bad google ad feeds.........really.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yesterday, I had one of my best days ever on Parked. I had several domains with RPM over $1000 and RPC over $1. If I were to plot a moving average of my daily earnings over the last couple of months, it's definitely moving up. I used to just park my domains, but when the bottom fell out of parking in March (I think), I had to work a lot harder on optimizing. Hopefully, at least some of that improvement is due to my optimizing (I'm not a skilled optimizer) and I feel that a lot of that is due to a general improvement. |

Check CAPS lock or upper case letters. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=326844 If that fails you can request a new pass word. Or check your email history or trash for the acceptance e-mail "parked" sent you. Assuming this was recently. .................................................. ................
