Look ... If you feel we should PM/email every member over Every "change / modification / deletion etc ...." we make , You're not using your head - Period. We have better things to do not to mention we would eventually need a staff member assigned to each active member to do this .... Think about it - thats a lot of time being used up. If you cant think of any rule you may have broken - Ask a staff member to check on it. I'd say the majority of the time it is a form of Advertising in the wrong sections , and after we move them manually several times for a member - It gets old.
"Moving a thread" takes about 4 steps minimum for a Mod - "Warn" takes 2 Steps - "Delete" takes 1 step ..... You do the math
All mods/staff/management/owners have outside Lives ,Jobs ,Sites ,Education etc ... to deal with as well.
I'm sorry to see anyone leave - Especially with a bad Outlook towards NP , But these threads are generally seen as "Sympathy" threads by me .... And I don't generally like or put any merit into them.
99% of the time - It's not something discussed with any moderators or staff before hand .... and is just a attention getter IMO ~ Sorry , But It's just how I see it.
You had been a member a couple of months when i joined and yours along with other posts were the ones i read with interest when i was lurcking in the shadows trying to learn things.
Whilst i understand your point, i think that as this section gains more and more people, then the views and advice of people who have been around a while like yourself, Allthings,Searching,SKG,Eq, JohnTV and many more ( apologies if i missed out your name) is invaluble.
I to have had a thread moved recently, i even tried to justify why i thought the thread was more appropriate to .TV section, but it was moved nonetheless
Now,Although i still think it was more relevant in .TV,the fact of the matter is,there is a dedicated section in the break room for the type of thread i started ,so until the rule is changed then i shouldn't be anymore exempt to the rules than any other of the 55,000 members on Namepros,so i have no problem with this and i don't take it personally, and i just see it as Equity doing his job.
What i would like to suggest is a "Suggestions to improve .TV" sticky,so anyone who has a good idea can put it in a thread, this will hopefully cut down on the amount of pms Equity receives, all suggestions can be read, but only workable ones will be replied to by Eq,Everybody gets to see who suggested what, no hiding behind pms to Eq, if you want something say it so everyone can see, JMHO of course.

If you didn't move it i apologise, it was moved so i pressumed it was you,( that will teach me to be pressumptious) as i said, i am not bothered it was moved, i was just using it as an example.
It was to celebrate James reaching senior Membership for 1000 posts.

Running a forum like Ray does is not always easy, takes a lot of his spare and free time and keep in mind that without Ray there probably was not even a .tv forum.
As you mentioned yourself, these are exciting times and the .tv era has only just been starting. In these times it's good to keep up to date in .tv land and there is no better place to do this then here.
I personally would find it a loss if a 'dot tv hard core member' like you would leave. Maybe you can just forget about what happened, think of the positive side and stay
Itsn't a farewell message and I am not in your shoes, but from my two feet let me tell you loudly that I (-sure I am not the only one here-) DO regret your decision and will miss your input and activism you demonstrate since the early days of the NP .tv gang.
One thing you cannot do in business is cut your nose off everytime you think something stinks: you will run out of noses.
It is one thing to skip out of a forum that you attend for non business entertainment. It is something else entirely to skip out of an informational forum directly related to your business, especially if it is the largest, and most directly relevant forum in your niche.
What I mean is, I don't think it is very smart of you to leave on that note, it might cost you some money down the road. Don't burn any bridges, let alone THE bridge.
