possible hint at historical premium renewal prices?

I stumbled across this by accident today - I may be wrong on this but a sample of names I checked from the 70% discount phase seemed to match up

When you go to enom.tv and check an available premium name e.g Real.tv it directs you to enomcentral with a link to a purchase page in format

http://www.enomcentral.com/auctions...?domain=real.tv

buy now (and renewal) is $150,000

if you use the same url format but substitute for a premium domain that is already registered e.g. Biology.tv (one of mine)

http://www.enomcentral.com/auctions...main=biology.tv

it shows buy now of $500 (it won't let you buy it as already regged but don't click just in case!) but $500 is my renewal fee. I tried a few names that were publicised at the time of the 70% discount phase and they seemed to match up e.g uptown.tv at $100.

Where it gets interesting is when you check those from back in the day e.g football.tv and kids.tv which come up at $25 renewal as they were purchased for a one -off fee.

Have a try at the recent end-user reg Weather.tv!

Perhaps some other seasoned .tv members here can confirm that their premium renewal fees are showing up accurately and this may help us all with making approaches in the aftermarket if they leave this open.

yes, with one inaccuracy, I have found it to be correct. very interesting...

note that anything you see under $50, I believe is a similar situation to kids.tv. they were sold for an upfront price.

That get me back to Detroit.tv type scenario

What is it worth in others estimates, with the non premium Reg Rate?

When you compare it to, say, a Dallas.tv with an annual reg (whether Enom gets it or not I understand) of $30k a year??

I asked an enom rep what my renewal would be on a $500 domain. The said this:

"We do not have a cost to renew your domain at this time, however we can tell you that it could be 10-15% on the renewal year. Renewal prices for Premium .TV names may be different from the original registration. This is outlined in the new .tv Registration Terms found here: http://www.enom.com/terms/agreement.asp?tld=tv "

Someone needs to talk to Verisign to get some answers.

The early investors in .tv got $25 to $50 renewals

IGAL, Elequa all the domains they own mp3, xxx, sexy, 1, t, etc.... are all regular renewal fees. They are the people that get .tv afloat way back

weird how you cant transfer them tho- that will suck for those who may hate enom
