New Tools?

Anyone know where and how to access them? I can see the new landing pages but cannot figure out how to get into the new toolbox.

Go to me.tv and in the upper right corner, you can log in using your enom.tv id.

Once logged in, you get a list of your names with a button that says "Convert to Channel".

Don't know what happens after that yet...

Thank you Westblock!

partnered with VideoEgg for video upload...

It's sub-domain based on me.tv just like several free builders out there...

HalloweenChannel-TV.me.tv

Half dozen templates, I can't find anywhere you can modify them, not even the header or add a logo...

Simple and clean. Very easy to get going, just as Equity was saying;

Maybe get a whole new following with how easy it is, but not really what I think everyone was hoping for.

All based around sub-domains for traffic verticals, ad negotiation (has an opt in button to "opt-in" to their advertising revenue) that will undoubtably increase dramatically as people start using the tools...

Yup, just gave it a whirl and it is as expected a nifty more advanced myspace setup.

Just registered for an account but says I don't have a .tv domain.

I would think they will let you load a domain or transfer it in.

MillersCrossing 05-01-2007 06:15 PM

Are the tools available for names regged with ENOM pre May1st??

mrdomainman 05-01-2007 06:20 PM

According to http://www.enom.tv/dottvinfo.asp , I think you can still use the tool as long as you are regged with enom.tv anytime.

It has all he names from my Enom.tv account listed, but not the ones I bought today over at Enom.com. I would think it will be universal, just a delay with everything going on.

Should show all names from your Enom.tv account, but I don't think they've integrated the Enom.com or Enomcentral.com portfolios yet.

SKG, how does it compare with SplashCast? SplashCast looks mighty good to me. Thanks again for posting it.

TheBulldog 05-01-2007 09:03 PM

what, so the only way to get the tools is a subdomain? Lame.

Im not happy with the sub domain situation,

you pay for a normal reg, then it ends up with a sub domain...

Richard, if you are watching, that needs to be changed you are hurting your company with this sub domain thing, I dont like it, especially when you are charging people for reg's.

I just wrote about this at my site, click on the news section.

Excerpt:

To start using the ME.tv tools, login to your enom.tv account and select the .tv domain you want to use for the new social networking tools. Click on the Social Networking link at the bottom of the page then you will see this message:

...works fine for me. I like it.

Rogor, I think if you first embed a player with all the rss video feed channels you want into your splashcast player you can then capture that player into these new sites. I will work on this.

You're not being forced to use this. It's as promoted and as most expected. DM is creating another model that will drive revenue through registrations, traffic, advertising... A more dynamic, more personalized, myspace...

I won't be using the tools for a couple reasons;
1. sub-domain
2. IF you are limited to the pre-set templates all the sites will look the same.
3. Nice, but very limiting toolset.

It does have the potential of drawing traffic to "sites" that would have a hard time generating viewers, and monetizing. If these change I will take advatage of the potential.

I just heard a rumor the sub domain changes to normal after a while...
