I find this to be the rule in my case, so the conclusion would be for one to move into bodis only domains making less than that on other systems...
I wonder if others have same experience.
Yup,,, I own several premium names and my entire portfolio of domains, including the premium, are averaging .30-.34/click. On very rare occasions I've seen higher at Bodis.

We've seen it before in this forum - test out your domains at other parked services. Even a share in revenue can result in a higher payout depending on your average RPC.

CPC varies pretty significantly based upon the keywords. My understanding is financial and legal terms pay pretty highly (loans, lawsuits, investing, etc). Others tend to be lower. Realize that advertisers will try to get the best deal they can. If the standard eyeball rate though is around $0.30 per click, it will tend to be "standard" except for high return markets (like those I mentioned) or in low price/high volume markets like a link for eBay.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=318378

Ideally your looking for that "killer" domain that will suck in tons of traffic for a high paying keyword. But then again, we're all looking for the goose that lays the golden egg.

Has anyone noticed that the site links on the second page may have little or nothing to do with the link on the landing page people clicked on to get there? I have a lot of 3 letter .ca domains that are really hard to optimize so I have been experimenting with different keywords such as jokes and humor - I figure that anyone might like a laugh.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=318378
Most links like "Yo Mamma Jokes" lead to nothing at all related to humor, for example,
ebay, pc software, etc.

Or...is the problem just that no humor related sites are into PPC for traffic?

On another topic - I think it would be good if one could customize the landing page without having to select an image, specifically changing the text. The stock images
aren't always relevant to the site so it would be nice to be able to amend the text
and toss in some keywords without having to find and edit, etc a suitable picture.

"ok here's some info on my topic of interest but not enough... lets click this and see what else I can find"

user tested better for me than

"ok im here but there's no content just ads. FU#K this I'm leaving"

This is just based on some friend's feedback. And as I mentioned in my entry, this would optional. Same way we can leave the copy in the homepage empty as well.
I don't think anyone can disagree with that. It would be a very desirable feature for people like me, and if optional it would be good for everyone, not least bodis itself.

If in doubt, just think what factors might be important when Google starts making a decision as to whether to keep a certain parking company's pages in the SERPs. And they will get to that, they always do.

The no ads issue will be fixed! The whole backend for serving parked domains is being redone and the no ads issued is addressed within that redo.

Yofie, are you saying nobody is clicking? Once again, it could be the no ad issue. And that will be resolved soon. Please be patient. Thank you!

Payment emails will be sent out September 1st. These emails will give full instructions to those that have not selected payments or have incomplete payment information.

Payments will be sent out sometime around September 15th.

I'm stuck on 2% CTR. Not much clicking going on. I think we need to be able to see the ads in order to know there are ads displayed and that they are matching our keywords choices.

CF .... Please provide a preview page link for us. I would like to see what ads are being displayed without violating TOS.

All other aspects are great. Love the layouts and options. I even like the auto lander. Very simple yet classy.

How about if we have the "Left Navigation" in second pages too.
Also, having the "keyword" in the title of each second page will be great for SERP.

Error message

I just checked my newlimohire site as it has a very low CTR to see what ads it was getting & found it's getting the error below on most pages.

Is this just me or are other people getting it too?

Let's face it ... BiODIverSity is the key

I think that what makes BODIS' landing page different and far better than anyone else is that there is room to customize the message on the site. To take it a step further, may i suggest having copy blocks along with the advertisements? I'm a designer/ID guy professionally and my initial suggestion is a block of copy above and below the advertisements. Copy areas is where we will have the opportunity to offer some content if we desire to do so.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=318378

Another question came up when I was presenting these sites. The question if what I was doing was "right". Meaning, am i misleading people or not by presenting a "site" that really isn't.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=318378

I have thought about it and I can't help but agree with those comments. With that said I have begun adjusting my sites so that my message does not throw off anybody. My sites offer "leads" to sites on my subject matter. That's it. If the keywords do their job as hoped, they may land on relevant pages that will give them the answers they are looking for. To add, I was thinking we could have an area where we manually insert links that we feel are valuable, not in the sense of revenue, but in information. These links would not make us any money of course since they are not advertisements. I was thinking the grey box area next to the picture would be the best spot in the current template.

All in all i think BODIS is the shiznit!
Bravo pixelbugnyc I agree and I think you have some really important points.

Let's face it, we are all trying to turn all of our parked domains in to real engaging websites generating the max income as simply and quickly as as possible.

I think that Bodis has one of the 'killer-keys' so far i.e. good return per click (or at least it seems better than the competition at the moment).

BUT

Web users aren't completely stupid, and if they get just a whiff of being mislead they will never come back. For example, everybody has now been programmed with 'blind-spots' e.g. banner ads, parking pages etc. and subconscious triggers which make us run a mile.

So CONTENT is the other killer-key waiting to be claimed. Bodis has definitely NOT won this one so far, but neither has any of the competition YET although there are better-looking solutions popping up all over the place. This type of solution is ripe for development right now.

I have had dealings with Sedo (or should it be "SodAll") for quite a while now, and whilst they have created a pivotal move in awareness regarding domain reselling issues, I think that they have been getting too fat too fast. They offer a comprehensive service but at a price, and I have had some very weird fluctuations with domains parked with them, so I do not completely trust their stats. Also their credibility in getting the money after clinching the sales is diminishing rapidly. They have had a captive market for too long and I can't wait to move away.

I think that we need serious competition from new hungry companies to give us more choice and this will also make Sedo and others get their act together. Do they call that Bio Diversity? We are all wide open and eager for new ideas, just look at the excitement generated in this thread, but it is still anybody's game.

mmm BiODIverSity... maybe Bodis is smarter than I thought.
