Perhaps Matt or someone who understands the payout system for Bodis can explain why the epc is still so low, since the fraudsters are gone, and so is most of the bad traffic. Is it the advertisers? The filters? Or is it Bodis? Are three cent clicks the full 100% payout for the click? If so, why were they higher in Sept....and how can they increase? Are we directly receiving 100% of all revenue? Is it somehow pooled and re-apportioned, or is it all based on the domain, with no revenue sharing?

I'm guessing these questions have simple answers....looking forward to hearing them.

On the bright side, it seems the longer my domains are parked with Bodis, the more visits and clicks several of them get. Over the last few months some have increased from 20 visitors per day to 50. Interestingly enough, of my domains that get clicks, 90% are custom pages.
I think it is really a combination of a lot of things that are giving you a lower revenue than you should have. We are still working on improving all of this. We can really come down to a few things that can help increase revenue in the future:
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/parking-and-traffic-monetization/318378-new-revolution-domain-parking-here-bodis.html

1) Keywords used / optimization of these keywords on landing pages. (This can affect your CPC and CTR.)
2) Landing page designs need to be improved. (CTR)
3) The last of the last click fraud filters can be eased up on (CTR).
4) We can work on making new deals to serve better paying advertisements (CPC).

So in the future, without any promises, I think we can beat September easily. But it does take a lot of time.

I applied to Bodis and was accepted. But by the time I got the notice saying that I was in, I had no idea what Bodis was, or what it was about. Then, I got a note saying that Bodis had suspended my account. Again, I had no idea what it was about, I figured it was spam. Then, I saw the ad in Modern Domainer and figured it all out, I had applied for the parking after seeing the ad. So I contacted Bodis through the online contact form explaining the situation (and using the same email address) from their website and still have not yet heard word one back.

Just not very impressed so far. -Doug

I understand what Matt is saying about revenue fluctuation and the ways Bodis can improve in the future for all of our benefit, but I am still interested in hearing most of verbster's questions answered if possible. I've wondered many of the same questions, as well.

Perhaps it is something as simple as the fact that it's the end of the month? If the high(er) paying advertizers have completed their impressions for the month, all that are left is the cheap stuff. Anyone ever look at the cyclic nature of the higher CPC? Is there a strong monthly behavior? If so, see what happens come Feb 1st...??

Today I received about ten times my normal traffic and my biggest payout with clicks from .05 .35, and $1.12. Something is going for that amount of traffic. Up until today my portfolio at Bodis was not moving much.

I'm a small potatoes player there, but I like the uptrend.

I just hope that we will be able to analyze traffic data in v2, as i don't want to move my domains to another parking company just to check these.. (i spend more time developing / maintaining sites than dealing with parked domains)

I have similar problems and on some of my names i noticed the adds change on the 2 click lander and in some cases to unrelevants adds. So i think the optimization may be involved with me, Revenue is up overall but I have the same problem as earlier one day 7 clicks on a name next day none, one day 1.00 a click next day 5 cents, I am trying to change to custom landing and changing up keywords one of my problems is I forget what i changed when and which was more profitable because of the stats delay. I have some names that mean the exact same thing, when I make all adds the same one name does much better when they payouts should be equal, Thats one of the reasons I suspect its in the optimization. I too have noticed an increase in traffic and am happy with Bodis and will go from Good to Great once these things are ironed out

got a $2.08 click today.

Still a bit disappointed with the general CPC for most of my domains, but looks like things are slowly picking up.

stub,

ok the one that got $1.12 a click, the tennis name starts with "ten". The name historicly gets .25 cents to about $1.50. My main point though is I am seeing lots more traffic to most of my names lately.

I think to many members think stats should stay about the same. They do come in waves, at times not much for a few days and then bam!

Anyone finding any niche areas where a name in Bodis does well?.

I am happy with my medical names in Bodis and revelent links on them. The ppc for these are .20 to .35 mostly, but that is better than most other places I have had them parked at.

If you read this thread, there are many people sharing how much they made on individual clicks, and I don't see that on my screens. What other people shared is that they might get only one click in a day.

That's what I'm thinking... other than that, there really is no other way since stats update once a day.

It has been mentioned before on this thread on a few occasions that Bodis is presently not accepting new applicatios untill Version 2 comes out in another month or two.

Simple...I have some domains that don't get a lot of traffic so they only get a click or two or three a week.

I had one in Saturdays stats that gets very little traffic but it got a click for $1.86...it's no mystery...
