I have a crude scoring system that gives a value for each 3 letter combo.
When I did a check 12 hours ago I found that there were very few left that had a score over 20000. What was interesting was that the ones that had been registered by others had a high value which suggests prying eyes :-)

It looks like the premiums are going fairly quickly...

How does that suggest Prying Eyes? I don't understand... sorry. Do you mean that others have indeed been watching this thread?

As for letting others in on this now... the "good ones" are pretty much gone. At this point, having all the rest bought up only increases the value of the better combos. so... I say, let's share

What I mean is that people are being selective in what they are registering. Like me I can imagine others have looked through the lists very closely (prying) and pulled out what they perceive as highest value possibly applying further selection techniques in conjunction with choosing premium letters.

The thread looks very popular with over 2000 views! and agree about having all the rest bought up.

now if we made you change your mind the same could be done with
end users, start up companies or small business, even tho a few have
already been sold for $$$$ the same could/can happen again.

if this kicks off i say L-L-L may be worth $500 in 2008 - 2009 ish

but as i said theres a fool in all of us and i maybe proven wrong.

i was just thinking once all the LLLL.com have gone
what will end users go for next ?

LLLL.net
or L-L-L.com
or LLLLL.com
or New top level domain extension

There is to many LLLLL.com to make each single LLLLL.com
domain to be in a valuable selling market and alot of the
domains wont make any sense. ( There may be a market in 2011 )

LLLL.net i do think there is a market for these but as a
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=307779
temporary solution untill a new market is created.

L-L-L.com is just the same as LLL.com apart from type in
traffic and it has hyphens, why do we get type in traffic
for LLL.com ? you and me are aware that there is a LLL.com.
Same can be done for L-L-L.com people will become aware of
these hyphen domains and search engines will become even
more friendly to hyphens with software updates allowing
more exposure for hyphens.

people who arnt domainers dont care if a domain has a
hyphen or not, some dont know you can use hyphens but
that will change as schools are teaching I.T and the
next generation children are here to take over from us.

domainers creates the market for domain names and the end users
follow suit with advertising which brings in the normal internet users.

so the simple question is what market are we domainers going
to create for the normal internet users and end users ?

p.s i may edit this as half the time i dont like what i write

Maybe this should be the other way round. I thought endusers create the market for the domains.

i would class myself as a end user/internet user not a domainer so the way i
see it you the domainers create the market which the end users advertise it.

Call me backwards, infact if i had any np i would change my name to it

i edit almost every post i make

end users, start up companies or small business, even tho a few have
already been sold for $$$$ the same could/can happen again.

if this kicks off i say L-L-L may be worth $500 in 2008 - 2009 ish

but as i said theres a fool in all of us and i maybe proven wrong.

sorry, I changed again idea, which means I stick with my first impression:

L-L-L.com are a joke, people won`t type in that and a few sales of crazy buyers that do not know anything about domaining won`t build a market.
If you and others manage to buy all of them, there may be a secondary market where resellers buy/trade and sell them like it happens for other categories of domains but I refuse to think that people will like to type 2 hyphens in a 5 chars name.
Sure, some lucky people may hit the jackpot and be contacted by an end user that prefers to pay 1K for A-B-C.COM rather than 30K for ABC.COM but if that`s what you`re doing and hoping, then I wonder why don`t you play Lotto.
OVernight I thought about the thoughts above and came to the conclusion that buying a L-L-L.com offers the same chances of buying Lotto tickets, so since I don`t play Lotto, I won`t reg any L-L-L.com.

Good luck to you all regarding it anyway.

.com will lose value to benefit all ccTlds within 5 years.

People investing absurb amount of money on dictionary .com will pay the highest losses.

Emerging markets such as .in , .cn and .us will lead the domain business within 5 years.

I still wonder if .mobi will be a new leader or not.

well , look I think you can give me the right of having a different opinion or not?

I wish you could notice I don`t own any .us since I don`t have anything to do with US.

How many people could predict the stock market in March 2000 ?

Soon or later .com will reach the peak that Nasdaq reached on March 6 2000
