![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | not real sure i agree with their system, seems length really is no factor as long as the term is popular, single words are better and the extension doesn't matter much

| Sam, AppalachianSchoolOfLaw.com is no longer a premium domain. As we posted, the domain scoring process has been recently improved thanks to all the domainers feedback. The +600,000 domains submitted for certification have been reviewed again. We sent last Monday a mail to each owner about the new status of their domains. ... |

It's automated, so it's giving an idea. I won't knock it cos its free. At end of day, paid appraisals are ripoffs. Only domainers can give accurate appraisals imo. even then we're not always right. a computer has no chance | ||||

| Improvement DatingSex MoviesDownloads MovieStores MatureVideos By the way I am seriously thinking about revise our PremiumDomains.com listing prices for dot mobi because I think the market is still not mature for dot mobi. Except for the premiums with the highest scoring, there is still not a huge buyer demand. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | OK it would seem that a premium distinction may be a guide of sorts. However its potential will likely reap $$ more rewards than higher ranking names that dont fit the ext. Itchyanus.mobi Toilet paper? I think short brandables and generic keywords will profit more. I would rather have a name scoring lower (like snappy.mobi) where you can invision a site via mobile devices, than a premium .mobi that has little chance of translating in this way.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I honestly think that the whole thing is pretty pointless. "Premiums" are basically all in the mind of the beholder...if there's something it's needed for, it's "premium" to someone. Otherwise, it's pretty worthless. Having an automated system tell you that it's premium doesn't make it worth a dime more or less than what someone is willing to pay you for it. And there aren't any people that will actually be using the Web site who are going to care either...calling it "premium" isn't going to attract anyone.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This service seems to say almost all dictionary words are premium. it is like if it is premium in .com then they say it is premium in any extension. most of the names i see in this thread should not be considered premium names for .mobi. |

| Hello Scandiman, These 3 names you submitted are premium in the very low range. Stats show that under 500, the average sale prices of such domains are generally hundred dollars. Now it's simply statisical, in the lot of premiums scoring low you have a small percentage that will sell really higher for many reasons, some due to the domain itself (that no metrics can predict) and other because you may have a very motivated buyer and a very clever seller that lead to an usual higher sale. Who in this world is able to tell you today which one these 3 names will be sold at higher price. If the scoring difference will be higher, maybe. Takes the program for what is it, a free service calculating a domain value number that summarize the following metrics into a single score: - Readability - Frequency - Search Popularity - TLD ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=294913 With the advantage that we computed the scoring formula to statistically try to makes sense related to the domains sold these recent years. This scoring will be improved in the next months analyzing also the commercial value and this way it should be more accurate. But in it's current form it gives already much more information then the single OVT number that a lot of domainers just gives to reflect the quality of their domain. ... |

![]() ![]() | My 3 Premium Names: ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=294913 CelebrityPicture.mobi - 416 InternetFilms.mobi - 491 UsFlags.mobi - 441 and the following two are allmost premium ... *exscenes.mobi (where * = s) - 395 giant*ocks (where * = c) - 397 very suprised that a name like supercasinos.mobi isnt premium .... maybe the word supercasino as one is not yet recognised ... Rosh ![]() oh and a question to cyber ... so since TLD is one of the various factors you measure the domain name in question ... does this mean that .mobi as a TLD doesnt have as much value as .com,.co.uk,.net,.info .... and because of this reflects a lower score ... See domainscore.com: usflags.com (637) and usflags.net (544) usflags.info (446) and usflags.mobi (441) This meaning that if .mobi becomes .com or close to the .com popularity scores may increase within time ... so a name that is premium today, must defenately be premium ... My thoughts anyway ... Rosh |
