| Sticking to the original thread rules may I offer todays new hand regs...
NAME ONE: DRIVINGTEST.TV
1) Only post what you feel is a great hand-registration. mybigvideopalace.tv is NOT a good hand-reg. You all are smart enough to know what is good and what is crap.
DrivingTest .tv
2) Explain why it is good, and why you chose it.
My first reason is that it is a defensive/pro-active reg for other names I own
DrivingTest TV.com
and
DrivingTest TV.co.uk
The name is familiar to EVERYONE who has ever driven a car in the territory in which it is intended to be used. That market is worth over $4 billion a year.
3) Explain how it could be dev'd.
DrivingTest .TV will be used as a supplement to any driving lessons taken on by an individual. The driving school offering lessons will be able to add, as part of their service, access (either free or for a small amount) to the DrivingTest.Tv site, where there will be a collection of aids, videos, tests, films, scenarios, etc that can help a person with both the theoretical side of their test AND the practical side.
NAME TWO: NOVELIST.TV
1) Only post what you feel is a great hand-registration. mybigvideopalace.tv is NOT a good hand-reg. You all are smart enough to know what is good and what is crap.
Novelist .tv
2) Explain why it is good, and why you chose it.
Chosen because the majority of people who ever read a book would like to hear about the authors 'take' on the characters and plot, the motivators in writing the story, and generally about the novelist themselves. The market is also VERY large.
3) Explain how it could be dev'd.
Quite simply, you sit down and film the novelist talking about their new book. Most novelists I know (OK, I only know two personally) tend to be very caught up in their work and want to share their thoughts.
I would pick one book every week, interview the author of that book and gradually build up, what would hopefully become, a considerable collection of authors discussing their works - many of which will go on to become best-sellers.
Revenue comes from straight sponsorship of the site by publishers, book stores, and from surround screen and on-screen ads. |
