marketiva.cn
marketiva.pl
marketiva.com
marketiva.com.pl
fx-marketiva.com
marketiva-forex.com

and so on...

One of my MBA professors once told me that those who make the most money are those closest to the money itself... same prof said cash flow is king. He'd hate MOBI. Hah.

My guess is that when we're talking about the trading of currency, we're talking about a community that isn't afraid of risk and is loaded.

Secondarily, there isn't just 1 marketiva out there making $$$.

This could be real.

Also, keep another thing in mind...

To me... $1,000 is significant.
To you... $10,000 might be significant.
To some... $100,000 is insignificant.

Very true. It's all relative to how much you value the dollar (or other currency).

After Mobi takes off we'll have a new section called "So what did you do with your new found fortune?" We can discuss who has the biggest yacht, who has the best car, who has the most shares of Berkshire Hathaway, etc.

And if it doesn't, we can have a section called, "So what did you imagine you would do with your newfound fortune, back when there was still hope?"

(Of course, I strongly hope it will be your suggestion, rather than mine...)

Excellent the way you put that. Something for others to keep in mind when aiming for an end-user sale.

One of the biggest misconceptions in this business is that you can register a domain on Monday for reg-fee, and sell it on Friday for a $1,000,000. But the truth is, there is no path to getting rich quick, and there is no 'easy' answer. With very few exceptions, the path to success in this business is paved with hard work and patience -- not overnight success.

I hope .Mobi does great, but I wouldn't order a custom Mercedes or BMW, or start building a dream house, yet.

You're absolutely right. You have to wait at least a few months and you will only sell it for 6-figures.

You know, ordinary folks refer to people dealing with domain names - generally - as "otherwise known as cybersquatters"!

And we wonder why?

Not a good domain name Monday, in my view!

What's unfortunate is that even the lucky few individuals who got into the domain business and registered great .coms in the 90s aren't insanely rich, just semi rich. I have only heard about one person who made over $30 million from domains alone and he registered thousands of .coms back in the 90s.

I'll be happy if my domains make me a few hundred thousand, and I'll take that money and just invest it into my business. Right now I'm not really counting on my domains alone to make me money. I'm just relying on development mostly. So reguardless of if Mobi succeeds or fails, I'll still be in a win win situation. I've already made my money back from what I invested so it's like I never even bought any Mobi names (but I still own all the mobi names I registered minus 2).

maybe the tmdosent mean anything if there are two sites with the same name that is intrested in the domain ... as you can see bittorent.net/com is a TM, however there is a bittorent.biz... so if they both would like to bid on a name this is maybe the way to go...???

The trademark could easily be disputed with development in a different industry then financial. The new owner could create a mobile marketplace and successfully obtain a trademark.

Here is a good example: AMAZON

1. AMAZON 78881094 - G & S: Accessory packages for vehicles, including fitted storage compartments and containers for the roof and cargo area, and electrical connectors; Trim level packages for vehicles; Automotive parts and accessories including, winch bumpers, brush guards, roof racks, jamboree racks, rear draw assemblies, compressors, slip covers, rack bags, exhaust, mufflers, wheel hard covers, grab handles, LED lighting, light covers, jack mounts, jacks, roof bars, skids, wheels, skid plates, shocks and suspensions, sway bar quick disconnects, underbody protection, license plate brackets and fuel filler doors

#2 AMAZON 78697411 - Web site services featuring on-line dating club.
