| As a "major investor", I can say that there is little demand among "major investors" in the low end.
Snoop has been warning everyone for months, so lets not pretend it wasn't without warning and I can assure you very few of us capable of buying into the low end are going to do so unless it gets ridiculously cheap.
$13 Per.. I won't pay a penny more, so no, I for one am not interested in the low end.
The bottom line is that in many ways the big investors do control the low end of this market in the short term.
10 Years from now I'll be one of the biggest supporters and proud to say I believed in their success from the start.. But not today. LLLL.coms still have a long way to go and the domainer incest we've been seeing on the low end is just that and really can't be put nicely. These names will go from 1 reseller to another over and over and over again. The problem here is that now nobody is willing to pay more and the person who bought the domain doesn't really want it -- he just bought it because he thought someone would pay more for it. It's a vicious cycle which will take many months to play out imho.
Advice: Don't invest in the low end unless planning to hold into 2009, you will regret it. |
