What you're friend had done is buying land to advertise something real (At least that would be the purpose of putting up a billboard for most people) not something that doesn't exist pretending it does.

For which the latter is what was illustrated by -db- analogy.

Putting a sign out front saying "Hospital" to attract sick visitors, when there's nothing there but an empty lot is deception and is how you deliver disappointment, not a solution.


I think you'll have to agree there is a fundamental difference in what your friend has done and with -db's- analogy.
