$XXXmm verdict means little, unfortunately.
You can't get blood from a turnip/stone, and EU and other European/Developed countries are caring less and less for US court decisions. Not going into what part of the verdict would be punitive (Germany and others have begun to summarily "throw out" punitive awards from the US as opposed to the historical practice of "a valid judgment is a valid judgment is a valid judgment" - the US is one of only a handful of countries to have "punitive" damages available to private litigants.), but whether through protection through bankruptcy or other remedy, the MPAA will suffer a huge net
loss as a result of this litigation.
