| Hey virtual......
IMHO, the column with the actual forums on it is WAY to narrow. While it might be good for advertising dollars, it makes the forum itself look cramped. Pile on top of that.....when a forum is new, best not to over advertise on it. Let it build up steam first, get some people posting you know?
If it were mine, I would keep the right column for feature stuff on top, then ads. Put ads at the bottom as well if you feel the need. Then use another pluggin to put ads either after the first post in the thread, or the last post of any thread.
Just me, but if I go to a forum with very few posts, but tons of ads....I tend to look elsewhere.
And then, of course, I have to ask the same question....there are tons of video forums out there. You know which ones get continued traffic? The ones with videos in them. Embed from youtube, hula, where ever in order to get videos.
Which, of course, is the biggest problem. You will spend all your time getting updated content and not running your forum.
I do like the skin/css just too many ads for my taste. |
