| I used to take the neighbor's kids on hikes when I lived in Western NY. We'd hike along the river and the kids would be tempted to sneak critters home. About a week after one hike I was visiting and noticed a horrendous smell coming from under one of the kid's bed: she'd filled a sock with earthworms and left them under her bed.
