![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i'd pull all for sale signs and traffic/parking activities and sit tight for a few months, until some investigating is done. there is no sense in losing a great domain over a few bucks through parking. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/cctld-discussion/266436-you-danger-losing-your-generic-domains.html as with many country domains, you are at the mercy of their government, rules, bribes and friendship brown-nosers. enom however, we have a corporate problem with them at this time, seems to collect ALL names that drop and squats on them, NO matter whether someone has a TM on a name, as it is in our case! We made sizable offers (upper xx.xxx) for a domain that has zero relevance to them. Now the attorneys are talking. so, all things considered, get your domains pulled from traffic, sit on them and wait what eNom does. Follow the path of the registrar, they are obviously slick enough to know which way to go. just my 2 cents |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This is definitely scary. It's one thing if you have a lot of money or are a corporation or something and lose a high quality generic. My high quality generic .in represents a lot of money to me, and it would be absolutely devastating if I lost it to some jackass presenting a faux TM case. I guess I'll whip out a "coming soon" page and will forego the few bucks a month I make from parking from it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't have time to build mini-sites for 200+ Indian domains, so I guess I'll go back to my old system, which was forwarding all the domains to a main site, and just having a simple holding page. No "for sale" sign, no real information of any kind, just a "coming soon" message, and my email address for contact. I got lots of inquiries and made several sales that way, before I started parking them. A shame though, because the traffic and clicks on my Indian names are getting better.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Probably what we should be doing is exposing those individuals /companies that are circumventing the law/ rules with spurious claims and tm's ![]() Maybe make the .in registry think a little more before they uphold these "claims" if they are likely to get adverse publicity. Just checked Circumvent.in is available , perfect for an expose site , not just for .in

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | http://www.iam.in/contact.html I made sure to include... "We have a wide variety of Indian names, and many are forwarded here while awaiting future development."... but, if I forward all my Indian domains to that page, I suppose I would still be a 'target' because it says I do sell my names?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | [QUOTE=-db Any ideas?[/QUOTE] OK - I have now taken the first step and regged Circumvent.in - even has Google 800+ for Circumventin To surround (an enemy, for example); enclose or entrap. To go around; bypass: circumvented the city. To avoid or get around by artful maneuvering: She planned a way to circumvent all the bureaucratic red tape. I think maybe a blog would be an appropriate way to set about this ![]() We already have plenty of data from the .eu /.info scandals etc to get it off and running. Have to be careful about regarding libel but if I do it all in my name/ company name - a retiree with dodgy body functions , living in Thailand should not be much of a problem. Give me your thoughts. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A good idea, wot. Now that all of us are fore-warned, it will be much easier to share information and tactics. I don't think you'd have any fear of libel with such cases. The facts are pretty damning.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This is real bad news! These kind of circumstances occur in any type of investment, but we must deploy a STOP LOSS strategy. This is the kind of investigation i was recommending in my earlier posts. Thanks a2zofb2b for sharing your investigation. And yes we might also have to take off our domains listed at listed.co.in!!! Can TipsfromtheTop tell us how to delete names from listed.co.in?? We have to respond unitedly. I think we must on behalf of the Website of WOT 'circumvent.in' write a letter to the Communications & Information Technology Minister Mr. Dayanidhi Maran exposing the tactics of any individual or company and send a carbon copy of the same letter to the .in Registry Head. What do you guys think? My view: 1. Either the individual may be roughed up and the domains given back to the original registrants. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=266436 2. The concept of registering domains only for the purpose of selling later at a profit might not be accepted at all by the Minister/Registry. Please share your views before taking any step.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | JUst read this post, and found it very interesting. It got me slightly worried about a domain I own - history.co.in I have had this name parked at Sedo for about 18 months now, have had several mid $XXX offers on it ( all of which I turned down ), and it is getting a steady flow of visits each month. Would you guys think that a name like this could be at risk being on Sedo ??? Thanks Alex |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Guys, I'm having trouble hitting the button to remove my names from parking... All those hours spent optimizing the keywords, the template, even the pictures on the page. Damn it. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This makes me sick. How does a subdomain grant anything? .in domains are out of the question for me.
