I could agree with the fact of Americans thinking there's only the .com / .net / .org
but with all the new people getting on the net and all the new TLDs I think
surfers in the US will learn what it stands for.

We look at things different than surfers, we see .IN and India logs into our mind.
99 out of 100 average surfers in the US see .IN as Indiana since IN is the 2 digit
Postal Code for Indiana like IL is Illinois and NY is New York.

I have a .WS email addy and most people think it stands for Web Site???

What do you mean the reseller price is $45? If you are talking about 3character.com then you haven't read the fine print.

This price is the absolutely minimum for a 3 letter. This means that you may find only the worst letters like qjy.us for this price. Other 3 letter combinations are sold a lot higher.

Most of the these domains are owned by big domain owners like Were,LLC and they ain't selling at reseller prices.

pzi is at $24 with about half an hour left

Expired names seem to go for a bit more--perhaps in part because you avoid the hassle of handling the transfer with the registrant. For example, expired names txp and qqc are currently at $42 and $44 respectively with a day to go. And about $10 will have to be added on to those names for renewal as well. Steven22's names were at about half those prices with a day to go.

I did not buy or bid on any of these names.
