Then you got real lucky finding one that dsiomtw didn't have backordered a year in advance. Someone has the real prize drops expiring Apr/May next year on backorder already, my money is on him or that pesky cartel (shhhh)
The backorders I have coming through now were placed in March. I'm going to end up with a couple of hundred GD backorder "credits" from things that were renewed. Hope they turn out useful for something else...

I heard that.
And on another note, just because things are quiet on the forums lately regarding dot us doesn't mean things are "quiet" - I know of a multi-billion dollar earning organization that has shown a very strong interest in obtaining a dot us on the secondary market.

KUL.US
KJP.US
CIY.US

i dont think they are a fad -CO- ...i just think people are beginning to ask really high prices for them ....and that is changing peoples appeal for them....I am seeing more and more comercials with a company using and plugging a dot US name on the bottom of the Tv screen...I truly believe the market is more end-user than reseller.

I have to agree with John on this one - they definitely are not a fad IMO. The fad may have been among resellers, but now I think almost all the LLL.us domains are trickling into the hands of end users and/or domainers willing to wait to find an end user. And I can also echo what John is saying about seeing more and more ads using a .us domain. It is only a matter of time before the extension takes off IMO.

Tom
all good news
its definitely noticable that there arent so many springing up on the forums these days, even bad lettered ones
and when they do they are priced highly, well above the 3char 'supposed' pricing level
