Hmm, doesn't seem to be down to me. Try changing your dns (as noted in the other message) too ns3.rebootrequest.com & ns4.rebootrequest.com.

Everyone else on our server (unless using the npserve dns) are up. As I said in another post, the npserve domain is temporarily off our site to stop the attacks.

Cheapquality 02-12-2007 12:44 PM

site was working ok, but now again, page is not loading and ftp is not working.
Again and again problems are comming... speed is too much slow and load is high

chicker 02-13-2007 12:18 AM

May i ask what went so wrong for this hosting company? I am not running from a VPS for my hosting service.
Rob

david.amherst 02-13-2007 07:16 AM

edit: The problem was on my end. Camron helped me resolve it quickly.

Matthew. 02-13-2007 07:22 AM

It's up for me.

It's possible you guys are getting your ips blocked. The common causes for this is if you have a chat script/shoutbox which refreshes a lot, it can cause your IP to show much like an attack and have it blocked. Other than that, there should be no reason why your IP would be blocked other than if one were actually attacking us. PM me your IP and I'll see if it's in the block list.

Nothing went wrong, basically we get thousands of DDoS attacks at the same time which kill apache. Right now server has been stable for 20 hours~

Surely this cannot be the best possible method to prevent attacks as its plausible normal visitors will be blocked?

And if i want to close my account shall i just let the renewal email come and go? Or if you wish to close it manually now you can: mattjewe

This is the only way really. Normal visitors will not be blocked, 100 ips per second recorded on our server is surely much more than anyone else will use (100 ips = 100 connections, in other words, it's considered an attack). Please PM me your domain when you want to cancel.

That's what i thought, but when i read about you suggesting that our IPs had been blocked because of this measure i lost track a bit ;) (still a bit lost )

Sending PM :)

Hi Dave,

We have found the issue which is causing this error and our techs are working on it as fast as they can.

Thanks for all who are standing by. Also a side note, apache has not been down for now 40~hours.

Alex. 02-14-2007 03:41 AM

Seems like your pulling through Camron :)

Ill stay on the service.

aing 02-14-2007 05:10 AM

ccm 02-14-2007 07:43 AM

I still can't connect via FTP. installatron isn't working, and when it does, even if i set it up as: www.mydmain.com/ it still installs as example: www.mydmain.com/wordpress and even then it only shows Index Of xxxxxxx and the folders.

Sorry but I am moving my hosting elsewhere, please delete my account

No one else is reporting this issue. Please PM me your domain, also installatron is working fine. I can access FTP also.

HTTPD is stable, and the attacks stopped. The attackers gave up because the attacks that come in are now handled by our firewall. cPanel is giving me a hard time but at least the users sites are up and running.

Alex. 02-14-2007 04:52 PM

just to get some of us out of the dark, what technichaly is wrong with CPanel?

Thought I'd share this if you have reason to believe they're indeed in the US:

Many ips are coming from the US however there are thousands logged as attackers, so it would be really hard going through each one and submitting it through that site ;)

PolurNET 02-14-2007 07:09 PM

Hi Camron,

Not sure if this is available for you with your datacenter, but a service called 'Cisco Guard Protect' helped us significantly to deal with a recent DoS.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I colo all the servers and the DC I'm in does not offer such services. As of now, everything is under control. I put in a Cisco PIX and it's taking care of the DDoS.
