First of all I would say this is absolutely wrong.
Now for the blog stuff. If you think there is a good replacement who can do the same quality and quantity of work that you do and with less amount then yes it is worth it. But only if you are going to spend your free time in earning that money back. Otherwise it is not worth it and you will just spend your time for nothing and you will pay that another guy some money from your blog and take some out of it. Ending result = You got less money this time.
