2. Is it short enough to type on a 10/12 button phone? Hyphens are not
fun to type on a regular keyboard. Many cell phones take several steps
to find non-alphanumeric characters. I'd avoid long or hyphentated
names unless you expect them being found in a mobile search engine. How
many actual keystrokes does it take on a 10/12 key phone. Just typing
".mobi" until it defaults in software is 10 keystrokes (1,6,666,22,444) (if
they'd picked .WAP as the TLD it would only have been 3 keystrokes)
Good point but I don't think that voice commands are very far off for cell phones then the triple tap typing will no longer be an issue.
Also, I would imagine that bookmarking and/or tagging will come to mobile phones too that will help .mobi.
You might want to check your list again. I had a list of about 30 names I was going to reg tomorrow when the price drops. Last check only 5 were still available.

Hey, I hadn't even thought about that! Cool! I was thinking sports as in Jocks - OK, maybe gay sports because I don't know any athlete who calls themselves jocks.
Both download.mobi and downloads.mobi are reserved by the .mobi corp as a Premium domain, but this one was available. I am thinking about building a directory type site for all different types of mobile downloads, such as games, mp3, videos, wallpapers, etc.
CONCALL.MOBI (Shortened version of ConferenceCall.mobi)
FLX.MOBI (Flicks...Flix...)
iLend.MOBI
IMT.MOBI (Internet Movie Times???)
MOBIVATE.MOBI (My company name)
TNZ.MOBI (...short and sounds like "tunes"...)
WDJ.MOBI (Wireless DJ ... W...D...J are all one key stroke)
what do you think about send flowers by your mobile?
Just registered:
SendFlower.mobi
SendFlowers.mobi is reserved by the .mobi corp as a Premium domain. And I think to select and order flowers with mobile isn't a bad idea, people always in rush and forgot about special occasion. 324948 overture results (even sendflowers would be better) could give me some clues, hope I'm right about it.
Also, I found "s e n d f l o w e r s" is hard to type when come to "r s".
I hope Mews for Mobile News also makes sense to you guys
As I do can't find a good news related .mobi domain, and this one suddently in mind, and I snapped it at once. Not aiming for the typo of News, just Mews.Mobi
