Ok. So, I know this domain is not the most high profile name out there, but the name fits the site I want to develop!

_FixedFee.com_ (Read FixedFee without the underscores)

Snap was already taken at SnapNames and I entered a backorder at Pool but I captured it with a Backorder at www.FoxNames.com

They're a WWD (GoDaddy) reseller, and I know from reading various posts here at NamePros, that Pool or Snapnames should have captured it first - so, I've saved myself at least $45 !!!

Just wanted to share because I didn't expect to get the domain, considering the other Backorders and Snaps already in place at Pool & SnapNames!!!

Also, just wanted to give hope to the people that use other Backorder services and don't want to pay the relatively high charged at SnapNames or Pool.

For my guide, are they using godaddy's back-end ?

I use godaddy's $18.95 backorder service as part of my whole backorder strategy. I am willing to add other services but I assume that in this case I am already covered....

Hi 4u-domains

The GoDaddy Backorder service is separate to this one. They do however use the same technology. I place backorders on the same domain with both godaddy and foxnames when they are available.

I didn't mention it above but somebody else had already placed a backorder at Godaddy on the above domain I was trying to capture. I now have a spare credit because I couldn't place the backorder with them! My point is, their own reseller backorder system beat them!

Thanks for the positive messages DSL & MSX!

Suthra

The foxnames.com site is a reseller for the sister company of Godaddy and they are ICANN acredited as well. Just like godaddy.

All the best.

Thank you. That is marvellous information....

It begs the question 'does every Godaddy reseller have this capability?'

By the time I have placed all the backorders the name would have expired... :-/

Once a Backorder has been placed with one reseller eg. Foxnames, the name cannot be backordered through any other reseller. There is only one slot, just like Godaddy and the price is the same, $18.95

Other domain prices (.com,.net,.us etc) are cheap too.....

PS You're right - Just too many places to place a backorder these days !!! LOL
