Illigal copy of script. What kind of action can be take over? - Page 2

I think that the script is a bit too pricey, but on the other hand if you use it, pay for it. If your friend is gonna use it 2 things will happen: 1. you will turn him in 2. VB staff will find him. Better use a free script and develop to a paid one when having the money

Let me give you a bit of advice here ever heard of copyright infringement?

Use a free one and get a nice skin some myBB ones can look like vB or even phpBB is modded carefully!

I really don't think that vBulletin would bother taking action against an individual using an illegal version of their forum.

They COULD take legal action, copyright infringement, theft lol

- But realistically, I really think they would not bother.

I know I wouldn't anyway...

if you want to use a free forum software make an IF forum or get 1.3 and host it on your own server

Well they do bother, only thing is nulled versions doesn't have call backs so its a bit difficult for Piratereports to locate the forum using the nulled software. if you use stolen license then there is a possibility of a email from ''HowardS'' the owner of PR to remove the illegal vb.they give no time atall as soon they get to know you are using a illegal vb they contact your Host and get your forum down.

yeah; and some haked versions have had their security taken out to so you are actually more vulnerable than almost any other BB
