I posted this once in the Web Design Discussion board, but it seems appropriate to put here as well.
I have recently made 8 free templates, which are not very high quality (as in, not ready to be used straightaway on a website) but will do VERY well as a base, on which you can build.

There is a file called variables.html, which will demonstrate how easy the layout can be customized. It is included in the zip file, which you can download from my website.
