This is a work in progress, but the design is near complete. Text is all filler so far.
I'd like to keep it clean and simple (yet effective) as this is what I will promote to my clients. However, I need to spice it up a tad - perhaps some icon-type images. Any suggestions? |

| hey i like that, i like simple and effective sites and it looks like you got one there. Maybe spice up the header image a bit. Not really a site that i would remember and thats what your potential clients will think to. they want there site to be remembered. but the colors and the layout i like. I think you should jsut spice it up with a more graphical header image and maybe some little images at teh bottom.

| Maby go with more of the ocean feel in the header area.
#1 it will give it spice
#2 it will stick with your color scheme and layout |

So, i'm changing up the header completely now - not satisfied with the current look. Gotta color it up a bit! |

| very nice so far - couldn't access the second link - I guess you've taken it down but I also like simple but effective sites - will look forward to seeing the new version.
Remember you can use a portfolio to showcase some things to potential clients that they WILL remember but I would follow the KISS principle for your own site.
Good Luck |

bensontwenty - do you have any recommendations for "portfolio" type scripts? I've seen some on webdesigner sites - they all seem to be javascript. I'd like something maybe php .. i'm flexible. |

| Not off the top of my head.
Don't everybody groan when I recommend it but www.hotscripts.com (I gotta get me an affiliate link for that site someday) has scripts for just about everything you can think of - I am sure you will be able to find something there that could be adapted to your needs - you're basically just going to be looking for a thumbnail gallery page that people can the click to open the site in a new window or click to get a jpg screendump of the sample |
