Please post your own article if you want to share over here. Linking to blogs and sites is not allowed. I myself have a blog with 1000 articles that would result into 1000 threads. So that cannot be allowed.

Thanks.

I didn't really think to use the bold or strong tags but now that you post this it seems like a good idea.

Very Good

Thanks again for the great information.
You layout the information in a very clear and easy to read format.
Very helpful for someone new like me to get on the right track when it comes to all the in's and outs.

Keep me updated by PM if you have other great posts for a noob like myself to keep reading. .. . . . I need all the help I can get.

Steve :hehe:

You said you always point to a related PR 10 site. How do you go about finding a PR10?

By coincidence, I've posted one forum right here at NP exactly about them:

Web sites with Google PR 10!!!

Thanks for all the comments and Reps received. Appreciated!

- Origin Links should have the tag STRONG instead of the tag B (STRONG is for Emphasys while B is for Highlight).

G SEO said: STRONG and B are treated the same way, none has more points for SEO, but it is the grace of coding not to use B as it IS (some say) deprecated.

Just my 2 cents.

How to create stronger backlinks to your site

- The origin Site (where the backlinks comes from) must have a general subject related to your site or page linking to;
- The origin Page must also have a subject related to the subject of the page in your site;
- The origin Paragraph, or text around the link, must also have a subject related to the subject of the page in your site;
- The origin Anchor Text must have a keyword/s related to your site/page.
- The link must be a real link, with http://, not just the www. Yahoo counts them, but MSN and G, no.
- Origin Links should have the tag STRONG instead of the tag B (STRONG is for Emphasys while B is for Highlight). Some people include H6 to H2 but it may seem spamming. Also, links should not be in tiny sizes like size 1. The colour can not be the same of the background.
- Origin Links should come from inside the main part of the document. Placing several links on the bottom of the document strongly reduces their value.
- The more on the top of the page the origin backlink, the better.
- The lower the number of outside links on the page where the origin Backlink is located, the better. Also, the higher the PR of those links are pointing to, the better. My developed sites always point to a related PR10 page.
- Coding must be validated, or at least with minimum errors. All linking, internal and external, must be working properly.
- Backlinks should come from different IPs and if Not reciprocal, the better.
- If you are linking to some site, link just a few times maximum, not from every page nor many times from the same page.
- Placing a Keyword on the Anchor Link as the same Keyword in the Title/H1 Header of the receiving page, the better.
- The more relevant text and the lower amount of coding, the better.
- The origin site as a whole must have good SEO for stronger backlinks to you.
- Your site as well must have good SEO, specially around those keywords, and the site or the page be around one or few major subjects. Talking about everything does not bring good results.

Hope that will be benefitial to many of us.

Enjoy!

Great information... can I rewrite it and post it on my blog?

No problem, Noli1985. You are welcome to republish it! I just ask, if possible, to link back to my new site at www.YesBrilliant.com, specially because I will be updating it constantly so it will be benefitial to most of us. A link back is not required but highly appreciated, thanks!

Just a side note: When I created that article, I just quickly got the basic info from the back of my mind and started listing them, from what I remembered, without checking anything else. If you pay attention on the original post, there are a number of minor grammar mistakes that I had no time to fix and also and specially because I did not expect so much interest on it (I thought it would be just another article burried in the NPs tutorial section that only Me would check when I - usually - forget something).

Anyway, it is very nice to know that you and other people are enjoying it.

Thanks you all!

Thanks for the compliments, farooqaaa. As well as for you ag9 and ezimedia, too!

Greatly appreciated! :)

---

Just added two new items that I recently learned and may help us getting even stronger backlinks:
- Using the TITLE attribute for Text Link:
ExampleName <a href=”http://www.example.com” TITLE=”keyword1”> keyword2</a> description_with_keyword3.

- Using the TITLE attribute for Image Link in conjunction with the ALT tag element:
<a href=”http://www.example.com” TITLE=”keyword1”><img src=”keyword2.jpg” ALT=”description_with_keyword3”> more_description_with_keyword4</a>

Note that keyword1... are complementing keywords, like sinonyms and latent words, not repeated keywords.

The ALT tags are certainly known and used by most people but not everyone knows that ALT descriptions are only effective when the image is linked. Search engines (Google) basically ignore alt text if the image is not linked, either to an internal or external link.

Alt and title tags should be a must in any webpage - not only for SEO but also for those with visual impairments. Their browsers depend on properly written code.
