Actually, unsolicited PMs regarding auctions would be considered spam. I encourage you to read the forum rules:

"DO NOT SPAM Do not spam other members through private messages or any other way on the forum. You may not use the forum or private messaging to solicit members to come to your website or offer any products or services or for any other reason unless the member has specifically requested the information.

I didn't know that and I'll read the rules carefully again.
To me spamming is to send the same message for hundreds of people.
I've been at namepros for a week and I'm still learning, and learninga lot.
Informing colleagues you admire about your domain being auctioned didn't sound like being against the rules to me.
Even so, if these are the rules of namepros, that won't happen again.
I sent the message in good faith.
In the other hand, accusing of a fake bid is so disrespectful and heavy.

You can find more information regarding the forum rules in the FAQ section at the top of your screen. In fairness, most of us have crossed the line a time or two.

In Dan's (danmanmktng) defense... He didn't say you were involved with it directly. He just suggested it was a fake bid, and and I think he was probably expressing what many others are thinking, because it does seem an unlikely name to get a $10,000 starting bid.

Sometimes people make fake bids at Sedo and other venues just to play games with sellers.

But it is a 5k bid ( not 10k yet, unfortunately hehehe), and it was the result of earlier offers and counter offers...
I wanted more for the name, since I believe in it a lot...
I really don't feel the offer could be fake, specially because (as it was discussed before) end users could use Trash.mobi for several different contents...
I really hope this was the accusation made by danmanmktng, but I am not sure yet.

Perhaps up to ~$500+ in a "Quick Sale" (undeveloped), IMHO. Sell on the heals of the Traffic Show / momentum! :music: :blink:

There have been some good ideas here insofar as potential development options ... these should be explored in order to obtain maximum long-term valuations, in my view. :talk:

Speaking of TRAFFIC, I have some concerns about submiting names in the future for the conference (even though I don't have any clue about their chances of being selected) since a great name like beat.mobi, for example, went for 3K, and I feel out of TRAFFIC it could probably have gone higher than that...
My vision of TRAFFIC being the ultimate price optimizer has changed for sure...

the private sales are the best option, but I still can't figure out how do they work so fine...

Any follow up here with regard to the one Sedo bid ... for Trash.mobi? :gl: :talk:

What do you mean by fake?
The negotiation is over and the buyer paid correctly.
Trash.mobi was bought weeks ago and now it's with its new owner. What is "fake" about that?
Measure your words next time so you won't be disrespectful.
