You can do it if you've got some hosting. Set up the nameservers to your server and do an html redirect. You could also do a mod_rewrite redirect, php redirect or javascript redirect.
With all those options you'd have to set them up individually which would take a while.
I wonder if Badger can set it up to work using nameservers rather than url forwarding....
Thanks, but this is not a feasible option as I'm considering bringing 500+ domains into this system as a trial. If this could be done through NameServers, that would be perfect.
There is a site located at www.cleverforward.com which will forward domains for free. Would it be possible to set nameservers there and then forward them from there? Or would it mess up the whole thing?
RE: the nameserver issue, obviously as a new(ish) site, we are working as fast as we can to achieve all your requests and suggestions and whilst we will definately produce the NS change feature over the next few weeks, theres only so much we can do at once... I, for one, will really benefit from this feature - you know how long it took me with GD admin panel to URL fwd my domains ??...
Latest news off the press will be a choice of 2/3 different news/parking pages.. News page no2 is really cool (and i'll give you all a preview as soon as I can) - the news page 2 is longer in length than NP1 and more comprehensive, like a newspaper site. In developing, we obviously hold the automation card close to our chests to make it as easy as poss for you guys to park the domains.
The only drawback is in the amount of time these cron jobs and grabbers take to compile your pages - so its a bit like "how many features and tools can we add before the pages load rate becomes ridiculous.." 1 vs the other..
Anyway, as ever, keep PM'ing me all your messages, thoughts and suggestions and we will keep working on them...
As ive answered Deet (and one or two others with similar concerns), the domain verification tool (which is being upgraded to incorporate ccTLDS etc) is only verifying that you are the correct owner of the domain you are posting for sale - It has no bearing on your ability to park it, create your pages and insert your banners.
Domain in "not verified" status simply does not show up in our "domains for sale page"
You might also want to click the "news" button if you want to see the content pages (rather than our old style park pages which are in conflict with adsense T&C's).
The news option will soon be the only option and users will not have to choose this as it will be automatic.. Should the site continue to grow, we will implement the adsense for domains program (as an option) but like RJ mentioned early on in this thread, "mini sites" are the key for, although they dont produce as much revenue as ad sites immediately, longer term, you end up better off - higher PR, return visitors, more indexed pages for a single domain etc etc... Also, imho, I believe regular web users will eventually be as savvy as us domainers when they come across a straight parking page in the future.. I.e. Click nothing...
And so, our new news skins (for later this week) will be cool (i hope)...
EDIT** Sure Rom, just to keep you updated, there is no auto-whois that allows auto unlimited multi extension verification (as far as i know) so what we have written is a "trusted user" verification system that makes any "trusted user"s domains automatically verified... You guys will see this happen over next few days...
