thanks for that, what email template do you send them then ? what title do you give the email? do you contact them first asking for who is the best person to email or do you just send it to sales@whatever.com?
If you have an active domain name site.. use an email from that address such as: Corp@DomainTraders.com (or whatever your domain website is)
I don't send a "pre inquiry" first, I just send the email msg. too the contact email provided. I find many of my leads from doing a google search on that particular industry.. view those sites and locate the "contact" pages.. and send the msg. too that email.
Is it better to send to the contact email on the site rather than get the email out of the whois? I have been sending to the whois email admin contact.... one time I sent out like 30 or so emails for a name & one site I was sending to was a .tv site & I couldn't get the email from the whois so I used the email contact off the site & funny enough that was the only response I got (from the page I got the email off the site).
Also, 250+ per name? How do you manage to get that many? Wouldn't that be a waste of a LOT of time (even if you can find that many) if the mailing was unsuccessful.
One last question.... when sending the emails, do you use "bcc" to hide that your emailing others too or is it best to let them see that so then they think "hmmmmm..... maybe I should get this name & not my competition".... they may offer more then too... ?!
Thanks.

Hmm.. any ideas for a name in which they own the .com and I own the .net? I have read them over and haven't found one I could change. I might just try my own and then post it here.
yet another question.. what happens if you get offers from more than one person. Which do you usually take? The highest or the first?

Hehe.. this is the email I sent out.. my first ever
Hello,
I recently aquired the domain name xxxx.xxx and found your site
xxxx.xxx. Thinking you may be interested I am now emailing you to find out if you would like to purchase this name from me before I go ahead and sell it. If you are interested and would like to make an offer please reply to this email. Thank you for your time, I hope to hear from you soon.
If you don't have an active email from the domain you are selling, amd you want the email to look like it comes from that domain, just setup an account in outlook, so the sending address is sales@thedomainyourselling.com(or whatever) and make the return/reply address of the account go to your personal email. If the customer is going to respond they will usually just hit reply.
