That's offer is not so good, that's about the same price that most registrars already can offer now.

.IN Domains
520.00 INR = 13.1446 USD
I pay now only $12.79 for transfer/renewal my self.

Third level .IN domains
270.00 INR = 6.82508 USD
I pay now only $6.79 for transfer/renewal my self.

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=173911
I can offer these prices at my reseller place www.PolarNames.com
My prices: http://www.polarnames.com/domain.php...domain_pricing

Just a quick comment.

I think it would be better if many of you went for quality not quantity, I am seeing many names being regged that are just not worth the time and money.

Write them down before you reg, re-check them after a few days and if you still think they are worth it then reg those that have not been tasted, unlikely though for .co.in/.in .

We ALL jump in too quick sometimes and in 12 months post reg they hit the dirt.

I couldn't agree more. There are still solid generics available, I say concentrate on those.

You don't get it Johnny. They will give you the pricing only for bulk, unlike us poor resellers who give it for even one domain, they are a registrar after all.

Plus you have the opportunity of dealing with the same person filing all those nonsense sub domain claims.

Bargain, imo.

Best advice I've seen on this thread. Some of the names on this list are crazy, I'm tough put to find sense in them.

Here's my checklist, hope it helps -

1. No. of Letters (12 is my limit - unless its a gem)
2. Industry applicability
3. Business plan acceptability
4. Size of target market
5. Growth potential of target market
6. Timeline till a sale / development is achieved.

Good Luck

If you think you have a good name to reg, don't wait too long or chances are these days it will be gone. Was looking at a LLL.in to reg last night, this morning it's taken.

Gotta agree with Wot and mwzd on this one. There are some shocking registrations on this thread.

Even if we're dealing in a speculative market, basic domain economics still apply. In the words of the big mouth:

"DON'T BUY A DOMAIN UNLESS IT GETS TYPE IN TRAFFFFFFFFIC!!!!"

Type in is definitely great, but lots of domains are worth regging even without type in. You can develop it yourself, or it could just be a great brandable term. Also, how do you know if it has type-in before you reg it and test? I don't want to get into domain tasting, buying hundreds of names, checking for traffic, and dropping every few days. Too much to manage.

Absolutely correct, but the majority of domains should be self-supporting to pay for those domains that aren't

Its hard to know exactly but reg carefully, a few at a time and where the traffic is. Check Overture, check results in Google, check the domains you already have.

Good, profitable advice, but easier said than done. WE're all in this forum searching, buying, regging and speculating on this same issue, so its not all that easy. And its ricks schwartz saying it, so yea, go figure.

i think we could also help people out on this thread by giving constructive criticism to people's .in/co.in names. Everyone is posting their names here, so proud of their regs, but very few people have made any comments on these names. I understand you don't have to, and its not your biz etc, but it will help us all in carving out great names in this speculative but potentially rewarding TLD.

I think mwzd did a great job of this:

6. Timeline till a sale / development is achieved.

2: I don't know any businesses that sell code snippets ... fail
3: If there are no businesses now, its unlikely one will start ... fail
4: Small ... fail
5: Not much room for growth in small coe snippets ... fail
6: Would work if developed but not unless ... fail
