Having said that, on a serious note, .co.in is a bad extension for bl*wjobs!

Hmm. I don't see 24kgold in my list as I only registered 22k gold names which, I believe, is the gold of choice in India. Regards.

You are correct on that, but people still prefer 24k, at least on paper.

Personally speaking, don't like numbers in domains. These are kickass though -
GoldBazaar.in, DiscountGems.in, OnlineGems.in.

We spell it as Jewellery (british english), see you have some of those as well.

Thanks for the info, mwzd. I'm sure you know more about it than I do, but I did Google searches for 22kt gold, 24kt gold, 22kt gold india, and 24kt gold india and found many more listings for 22 than 24.

Also, just regged:

Generally, "noun".co.in get good type-in traffic and because of that it all depends on the revenue you receive. Otherwise, its all on a name-by-name basis. Some will inevitably be reg-fee names and others you may be lucky to sell to an end-user for $1000.

Good domain!!! Congrats on your first dot in!
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=173911

In India, there is hardly an explicit mention of south east as a geo territory! North east if far far more common in reference.

If you look at the map, the southern part of India is tapering (a peninsula) so hardly a south east and south west!

Good reg nevertheless!

Thanks barcode! Are you from India btw?

I did a little research on Google before registering this name. 24k results for "southeast india" I thought it must mean something...hope it's worth it else I'm going back to the GTLDs.

Rep added.

Yup, am from India

South East could be south and east India instead of south-east India.

Hold on to it... Suggest you could also develop it with south east asia - big travel destination from India... and south east India too...

Mid xx anywhich way for the time being!

Good luck!

I'm planning on developing linked.co.in and shared.co.in

linked.co.in will be like a linkedin.com / facebook type site, and shared.co.in, i haven't decided yet.

Do any Indian readers have a view if the linked.co.in idea will be well received or not? Do Indians like that sort of thing or am I wasting my time with that one?

Cheers,

Matt

A large part of Orkut and LinkedIn is powered by Indians. But since they already use those, along with their friends, why would they switch unless its a kickass service that has a huge USP. Thats why a bigadda (makes me laugh, that name, especially if you hear the connotation in Hindi) has not really made a dent in the market inspite of a million dollar ad spend.

That said, both your domains have potential for development, just in a different focus area.

I'm wondering if someone can confirm the spellings of these cities - Bengaluru for Bangalore and Kolkata for Calcutta? I've already confirmed Mumbai, Chennai. Also, any confirmation when New Delhi will get a name change and to what.
