.IN is being adopted like wildfire.

.CO.IN is also being used by a lot of legacy companies and for people looking for a cheaper alternative.

Thanks for directing to link. Got your point. My next question is about the tendency of people in searching information in India. Do they type flowers.in etc. That will be interested to know. If that happens, .IN has chance to be at par with .Com in India.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=173911

In US .Com has become standard, lots of people will directly type keyword followed by .com. .US extension is not that popular. Only last 2-3 years there has been improvement for .US domains.
Thanks

I doubt people add the .com after search terms either.

Try the top few keywords and compare the results - say games v/s games.com and loans v/s loans.com

.IN is great for branding and is not limited to India, people in germany, switzerland, russia use it for local sites, plus there's a huge Indian diaspora worldwide who are also using .IN

Just hours until Rick Latona's ccTLD auction (7AM Los Angeles time). Afterwards, there will be a lot of price data to consume for the Indian and other country codes. The extended auction should have many more Indian domains.

Since I'm selling a few .ins, my signature has a link to the auction. Otherwise, details are online at ricklatona.com.

I own NonProfits.in, the .com sold for 20k at the recent TRAFFIC Live Auction.

The "non profits" keyword is extremely strong imo, especially when you consider the vast number of non profit organizations out there, from ones known worldwide like the Red Cross to smaller and/or local groups.

Search numbers are looking good with"non profits" was searched 165,000 times/month on avg. according to the Google Keywords Research Tool and there are 21,200,000 Google results for "non profits" in quotes..

Also, NonProfits.in is a great domain hack because you can make subdirectories like NonProfits.In/USA or NonProfits.In/NewYork. The use is definitely not limited to within India, so the market for the name is instantly much larger...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=173911

I was thinking about starting a directory (phone book, description, map) of nonprofit orgs but couldn't find a script that I could easily pick up off the shelf and launch with, does any one know a good script for a "business listing" or "Yellow Pages" sort of site

Thoughts anyone?

I liked this domain. you are right this can be used for directory for non profits around the world or just in India. About the script I don't have knowledge, post your question in programming section.
thanks

I agree.

I like the domain hack aspect of using the .in as a subdirectory. It can work with so many different names also.

I'm curious if anyone has successfully developed a .in using this method?
