I have my domains at 1and1. I am thinking of transferring them over to Namecheap. The names don't come up for renewal until November of 06. I have had good service with 1and1 but I have read many "unflattering" stories. Just wondering what I should do.

Yahoo.com is I think the cheapest at 2.99 per name, but You get what you pay for...

A year ago I paid $2.99 for a dot.com getting exactly the same that I get from Registerfly, Godaddy, Dynadot or DomainSite.

Maybe some a few features not, but the most common and necessary yes, (Name Servers, A records, etc., etc.)

so the you get what you pay is more likely to apply when it comes to hosting VPS or dedicated servers.

Anyway, such yahoo domain was transferred to Dynadot because I hate those registrars not offering PayPal option, and even the transfer was made quick and without pain.

Domainsite here, always available, good support.
The controle panel is easy to use and also very good navigations on the site, to the point.

And not to expensive domains.
