Here's another good one from the first page of this thread... "Non-word 4 letter .coms are a graveyard for domain speculators."

I've been following this thread since day one. I had a discussion with my wife a little over a year ago about about possibly buying 500ish pronounceable and semi-pronounceable LLLL's. She said to go for it if I really thought the LLLL's would sell out and I could make a profit.

Posts like the above quotes gave me enough uncertainty that I only bought about 100. God am I kicking myself right now

This buy-out wasn't done by a single person/entity, therefore I believe it will stick.

If you bought 100, then you're in good shape. A hundred good names are better than no names, those are the people kicking themselves.

They still can buy Them on the aftermarket for low $XX before the value reach $XXX

The pattern is the same of LLL , just 26 times more offer but the demand is increasing faster then the offer worldwide.

I have the funds to reg a bunch more LLLL.coms but my feeling is I regged the ones that I wanted over 10 months ago. Do I really want the ones left now? Not really...I am going to look around and buy what I want in the drop auctions or in the aftermarket.

I got into the market only a couple of months ago thanks to this thread. Your posts really inspired me to take a gamble. Well, a couple of weeks after making my first big purchase I made an ebay store. Now I'm working on a 4 letter informational website http://4ltr.org. Guess you could say I really got hooked. I'm already starting to feel the DYYO withdrawals coming on.

I did my part

I just took xvnj off that list xvNewJersey in my book and hopefully something in my bank account in a few years. I'm in the low double digits with these and yes I'm kicking myself for not getting more earlier this year. I was using dyyo earlier this year to grap ones that had PR.

Just a few domains removed from the final list

I just grabbed about 10 more. After google searching, I am finding previous traffic & acronyms. Since we're getting to the bottom of the barrel, I'll have to make new friends with people in other areas of the world for translation.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=161235

To shed light on a different subject.. My whois results 99.99% of the time show these final domains as taken / registered before.

If these low quality domains were registered before, what happened? They should have been gone like 3 years ago along with all the better & good ones!

I know when they're all gone, this will result as a nice investment. Look at the LLL.com's & now L-L-L.com's. Just 2 weeks ago L-L-L's were available like these LLLL.com's are running out. Maybe it's the economy.. especially in the USA.

The economy in the US is starting a downturn. Look at the US stock market today... People are starting the realize that the sub-prime events were not just the one industry but the entire economy is struggling. I believe all the LLLL.coms were regged in 2000. I may be wrong on that though.

It has already been discussed many times: the precedent full buyout of LLLL.com was due to a big unique massive company that then dropped all names in one shot. Something different has been happenning lately and times are very changed. In 2000 who would have bought 3z7.com for $130 ? I sold it here to another domainer. Think about it.

The only chance at getting a VCVC, CVCV, VCCV, VVCC, or CCVV is if it drops. The only ones left aren't that great. Your only chance at catching one of those if it you get it when it drops. Well, the countdown is getting better! It's getting closer and closer to all be gone!
