I'm a mild buyer of LLLL.com domains, and I've been pleasantly surprised with the performance of all of them. Mine, are not what most would call premium and most contain an x or y or both, yet when parked they tend to be some of my most visited pages and offer some of the most consistent click through ratios of my portfolio.

So I'll say its certainly been a good investment so far, and regardless if all of the names get bought up or not I think there will be too many to fetch any price near what a LLL.com will get, but certainly will maintain levels above regfee regardless of how many are available.

I wish I would've read this before I scanned all 80,000+ combos with DRT. Oh well, it was fun to push the limits of DRT.

In your opinion, what constitutes as a "pronounceable llll.com"? Is the phrase being overused? I am trying to sell FYEV.com and PUZD.com, which I think are pronounceable.

PUZD.com is definately pronounceable. FYEV.com is debateable.
How do you pronounce FYEV? (F-YEV or like "FIVE") It's not obvious.

The best ones are the CVCV.com domains (C-Consonant,V-Vowel) If you include Y as a vowel, then there a few left. I got ZEQY.com today. The reasoning behind why these are best is made by looking at the high sales LLLL.com as there is a significant percentage of the high sales LLLL.com that are CVCV.com

IMHO true pronouncable is a name that you or someone else would gladly use to brand a business, without concern for acronyms. SEDO would be an example. (and I notice that it is CVCV). A lot of wishful thinking in this area! Two years ago I went through a long list of five letter names and found only one that I considered pronouncable.

So it is in the eye of the beholder.
(But anything that convinces people to buy the schwag still remaining is a good thing. The sooner it goes the sooner the value of all LLLL.coms begins to rise.)

Ukbu and Ozud are nice and will fetch some $$$ someday. The rest are iffy, but I'd hold on to them anyway.

what kind of names have traffic? I assume there is no overture names available anymore. What kind of measurement do you use?

I wanted to start a "digg.com" like site, so I just checked all CVCC.com's where the last two CC's were the same letter. Only one available: qohh.com That doesn't sound quite as brandable as digg, so I'll pass.

Even though it goes down this much due to traffic testing, but still it is a quite significant event. And most likely we will not see it above 50K again.

That'd only be $312,750 (assuming there were 45,000 domains registered).

If I were buying 45000 domains, I'd negotiate a lower price than $6.95. You could probably reduce that figure by at least $20,000 with that level of bargaining power.
