6% Barrier Crossed

Next Update at 5%

My guess is that the actual number of domains without traffic testing is between 7 and 7.5%. Traffic testing has started to reduce in recent months as there is less to test and a lot more of the better domains have gone. I have been suprised that the VCCV.com domains haven't been bought out yet. I expect them to go soon as well as the CVVC.com domains. Also, the domains starting with the letters B,C,D & E are slowly depleting. I expect them to go any week now.

No but I have a list of domains that I put in this available domains thread that I liked. There are a lot of VCCV.com domains included. I checked yesterday and there were only 7 VCCV.com starting with the letter E.

There used to be a thread with people predicting the date that they will all be reg'd. Is that still around, I couldn't find it. I know my guess was wrong anyway, I think I guessed June, last month

Now I think I would say October, give or take a month

Ohh.. And I also went ahead and reg'd a few more:

Let's say someone regged 26,000 at a bulk rate of $5.00 = $130,000

They'd have to renew 2 years x $130,000 = $260,000

Total price for 3 years registered = $390,000

If value increases to average $50 each - in 3 years 26,000 x $50 = $1,300,000

If someone is going to buy the remainders they'll probably wait till there's about 1/2 that left. Who knows...there could be investors waiting for a certain threshold and then they'll pounce!

I ran that thread. I moved the predictions to this thread. All incorrect predictions have been deleted. For the remaining predictions visit the front page of this thread.

I think an investor would be better off buying half of what's available now than buy off the last ones. An action like that would stimulate urgency in the speculator market to get anything. I think that there is still around 1000-2000 now that have significantly better characteristics than the rest and hence should be worth more when they all run out.

bulk price for $5 is that realistic? I would have thought a bulk price would be closer to $6.24.

Why would a buyout wait until only the worst letters are left?

Makes sense only if the hypothetical "buy-outter" has a good stock of better letters that would benefit from the perceived scarcity.

As well, any "buyout" would be hard to maintain - remember how long the 3 letter .us market came in and out of bought-out status?

Just my .02

I still love LLLL.com's, but I think it's too early to expect a buyout

Okay so with the recent dip down below 27k available LLLL.com, will one telling indicator be if it goes back up by several thousand in the next week.

Um, do tasting attempts show up in the drop listings? Fun!

Registered QPOX.com today. Despite the Q - thought it sounded kind of cool. Noticing significant deterioration in quality of names available for registration compared to even a few months ago.

I've gone ahead and snatched up a few more myself

YDLR.com --- YRGP.com --- YTBR.com

I'm guessing that withing a few weeks of it dropping to zero it will probably go back up to a few thousand or more. Then back to zero in a few more months, then back up a bit more.. then back to zero for good

Or somthing similar... Just a guess.

I think so too...more likely to be an accelerated scramble by latecomers afraid of missing the bus and those with an established portfolio indulging in a late snack of indigestible domain food..........................

I think it will take awhile for buyout to happen. I remember threads discussion buyout of xxx.in's and a while back and I think they are still available. I would think xxx's would go faster than xxxx's.

However, I've done my share for this month and grabed a 2 dozen. Purposely when for the undesirables.
