someone should tell these guys that hyphens are a no-no: www.bank-of-china.com
The Bank of China missed out on their name in Chinese though.

中国银行.com is in the hands of a speculator.

Bargain-Domains is just really niceBargain-Domains is just really niceBargain-Domains is just really niceBargain-Domains is just really nice

I just bought a domain today, www.car-quotes.com for $725.

Overture for "car quotes" = 959343
Overture for "carquotes.com" = 523

Lots of people do use hyphins. Usually, they will do something like go to "www.freegames.com" and when they hit a site they dont like, they'll try "free-games.com".

Plus lots of hyphen domain names get great google placement. More and more company's are using these domains to advertise with.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=161100

Type Google always has these types of domains being advertised: price-autos.com, trade-in-value.com, cheap-insurance-quotes.com, ect.

This, maybe, shows a shift in what internet users are looking for. While they may not type a hyphen in a URL bar very often, they see the words "car-quote.com" and realize - hey, thats what I want, a "Car Quote".

These domains are obviously rising in value, so find some unregged hyphens and start investing .

I've been quite surprised at some of the hyphen sales as well. Makes me think that I should get more serious regging/acquiring some hyphen domains.

Cystic Fibrosis Diabetes Breast Cancer Save a Life
A major Portion of traffic on internet is generated by SERP's
Hyphenated Names are listed just as high (or higher) than non-Hyphenated
SO why not register some.
It is the old .com only mentality.
Type any Search term you can think of into GOOGLE/YAhoo/MSN and checkout just how many results are NOT Non-hyphenated .COM's
One of my HIGHEST traffic Names is Become-Rich.biz
All the DoomSayers would say "OH No, a Hyphenated .BIZ"
But a non-hyphenated .COM with a fraction of the Traffic would be considered Great. Go Figure!!!!!
For branding purposes , Hyphenated Names also solve the problem often seen
where names have multiple meanings such as
mp3s-hits.com << where the Non-hypenated version could mean something else. Hopefully the whole Non-Hyphenated Hype may at last disappear

Yeah, most of the Macau/Macao/CoTai names are parked pages at the moment.
Macau.com was basically a parked page too, until it sold for $550,000.

some key 2worders can be quietly picked up in hyphen form due to domaining hyphen-blindness. cellphone-world is a an example of this.

Even though some purists shun hyphens, they will be the next "rush"...especially with .com extensions. It's already started.
