im after this kind of nav........
 
hey poeple

im wanting to redesign my website and am have come accross a navigation system i like

id like something like that navigation but not actually with the animation


any ideas how?

Check out: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/hvmenu/ - I have used this on my site below & it can be vertical or horizontal.

If you do not like that one - check out that site for some other ideas.

Here's a navigational menu I would love to use: http://kitchens.com/ It not only looks great but has all the elements I consider good for easy navigation. There can be question about which page you are on. Also, all the subpages for a topic remain on display in case you want to look at other subpages. If I knew how to make one like this I would use it on every site.

Correction: There can be "no" question about which page you are on. (I am a miserable typist!)

that seems like a nice navigation but the page loads again when it changes, not exactly what i wanted

I think you can acheve that effect from Macromedia fireworks if you do it right.
