Depending on your capital that you have available to spend on promoting the site...there are some great campaign you that you can use through direct mail that might cost 1-2¢ per household to expose people to the site. In theory you can expose 10,000 households in their mailboxes (curbside/legally) for about $100 or so.

This is just a thought. Not sure what your plans are to generate income from the site (outside of the obvious..click traffic ads etc.) But I think there may be a lot of potential with elections coming up.
